The plant that she had attacked was clearly not comprehending any sort of communication, so Lissa instead had to bear the brunt of the young girl's mistakes. She grunted as the creature's leaf gouged her skin, as her dress gave her minimal protection against such bladed tactics. "...S'alright, kiddo. Don't worry yourself too much." Lissa didn't want to make the little girl cry any more than she was already.

Jet was also contributing to the conversation, as he courteously told her that she would be helped out. Lissa thought this to be a very thoughtful gesture from him, in spite of his typically shy and reserved nature. With renewed resolve, Lissa decided to take another plunge with her weapon, stabbing the nearest Mandragora with her pitchfork.

"Go back to your garden!"

Naina coughed while her eyes smarted in the spray of.poison. Thankfully, she could not feel any of it running through her body. When her eyes cleared, she.looked around at the people who had come to save her. The plants that were chasing Naina were now attacking everyone else without mercy. They were trying to protect her! Naina would not let these people get seriously injured, or even die because of her own foolishness. Taking a few steps back, She quickly reached inside her bag, taking out a few different kinds of plants. When they were in her hand, she concentrated hard upon them. She gave a quiet sob as her emotions began to return to normal

As she looked down toward the plants in her hand, they began to give a soft glow. Then, without mortar nor pestle, they began to be crushed together. The powder that remained in her hand began to glow even brighter, and Naina began to work her magic.

"I hope this works," Naina mumbled inaudibly as she began to work magically infuse the effects of her remedial mixture into the body of the armored boy. His wounds would begin to heal at a faster rate once they felt the pulse of herbal magic from Naina. This was the first time she had ever used this on anything more than a small scrape, so she was not sure if she could heal it all that well. But she had to try.

Alice winced as she felt the poison enter into her blood stream, wishing she had some sort of healing magic. Sure the girl had some, but how could Alice know that it wouldn't end up doubling the poison's damage once the battle was over, or once the girl had gained her trust? No, she refused to fall prey to such a dirty trick.

As she circled the Mandragoras, putting herself in a better position to attack them, Lissa cast a sideways glance at the young girl. She seemed to be making some sort of mixture to heal Jet, which boded well. If the girl had experience in the arts of healing, then she, too would make for an ally that was certainly needed; especially with the poison-spewing Mandragoras.

As she approached her vantage point, she also saw Alice wincing in pain. "Alice... are you alright?" Lissa called, noting that the girl seemed very wary of her, Jet, and also the young girl who they were trying to rescue. Gonna have to worry about that later... she thought to herself, tucking it into the reserves of her mind...

...But for now, another slice of the spirit blade.

The plant that had released a spray of venom earlier once again burst open a sac that contained the foul substance. This time, however, Naina could feel the poison begin to course through her body. Seeing that the girl with the stringed instrument was starting to get weak, and knowing that she most likely would not be able to handle too many more attacks, Naina took a few herbs out and began to work her magic, repeating what she used on the boy in the armor. The magic would take the power of the herbs to the girl's wounds without Naina having to do much.

then, when she was finished with her magic, Naina began to move out of the way.

Lissa gritted her teeth, grinding them against one another as she felt the pain from the razor-sharp leaves that these Mandragoras seemed to possess. She heard Alice squeak as the newcomer healed her. Is that some sort of thanks? Or is she scared of the poor girl? Lissa wondered silently, as she stabbed forward with her pitchfork... At least they had felled one of these accursed beasts.

Jet was indeed correct. There was a long path ahead of them...

As the poison seeped through her body, Naina knew that she would not be able to go much longer. She repeated her healing process on herself, her body gaining the energy to heal itself. Unfortunately, the herbs would not be able to remove the poison affecting her body, but Naina knew that it wouldn't last much longer. Then, once she was done, she moved so she would have a better view of everyone who was fighting for her, ready to heal whoever got injured.

She was surrounded, and far enough away from the young girl that she probably wouldn't want to risk moving into harm's path to heal her. "Well... been nice knowing you." Lissa chuckled grimly to nobody in particular. She retreated to the furthest part of the trees she could manage, hiding in a tiny nook...

...when she saw the bag. It could contain something to help her, or at least help her allies, should she fall to these monstrous plants. She grinned, searching through the bag, and hoping it would contain some sort of useful tool...

Lissa braced herself for what she had been certain was going to be the final attack she could take... but when the Young Mandragora attacked her, she did not feel the intense power of razor-sharp leaves on her skin; this attack was much less intense. Lissa exhaled a breath she had not known she was holding. Clearly, the Mandragoras were growing progressively weaker.

"Caught a lucky break there, hahaha..." Lissa called out to her allies. "Thanks Jet... Glad we could take..." she broke her sentence off, stabbing the Mandragora in front of her with her pitchfork, "THIS bugger down!"

Alice swung her banjo at one of the freaky plant things, unsure of what they were actually called. Whatever they were, they were annoying. Anyone around her would hear her muttering "Die...die...die...!" She wasn't very fond of monsters, to say the least.

The situation began to turn out for the worse. One of the two remaining creatures sprayed poison from a sac much like the one earlier did, only this time it affected much of the group. Wincing at the pain, Naina took one of her pre-made salves from her pack. She knew that she would not be able to last through this bout of poison. After this, she would only have one left. Hopefully, she could get by from just using normal salves on her allies from here on out -- she would hate to use the last of anything she had.

Unstoppering the vial that contained the salve, Naina lifted the pungent, gooey liquid to her lips. While it was meant to be spread on a wound infected with a venomous wound, it was safe to drink, even if it was rather foul tasting. She grimaced as it went down through her throat, then almost immediately, she felt the poison coursing through her body diminishing. She then decided to hide behind the girl with the musical instrument and the boy with the armor, not wanting to be attacked by any of these mean plants.

((OOC: I won't give a full strategy this round, but even though Verde has less HP at the moment, it will be easier to take down Caula in my opinion, considering the positions of everyone. However, considering that the three of you can't all attack either of the mandragoras, we'll have to have a slight split. Book, Jet should attack Caula, then get out of the way somewhere off to the right, preferably using the full 3 MOVE he has. Lissa should then move to where Jet was and attack Caula as well. Then Alice should go attack Verde. Remember, don't bunch up around one of these plants. They're annoying. Also sorry for being so late. Life, y'know?)

Jet mentally cursed as he and his companions were infected with poison, but was at least relieved to see that the girl was able to heal herself, he then turned to the enemy next to him, and attacked it with his blade, before running off to his right to recover.
