The Haunted House on the Hill

"Once I tell him, he'll definitely go after you. He's a gentlemen, aren't y' Joseph?" Denny stated.

"And you understand the consequences if you don't keep him from coming after me." Angel said menacingly.

"You forget that I'm kind of stupid," Denny laughed.

"I think you're smart enough to realize that if Steve doesn't get to you, I will." Angel said angrilly.

"Silly Angel, I'm not scared of you!"

"You should be." Angel banged on the door again. "Now let. him. in."

"Threatening me obviously isn't going to work," Denny scowled, looking over at Liz, mouthing to her "Convince her to leave with Joseph."

"Angel, you know you can't go alone...." Liz said warily.

"Liz, you know full well I can." Angel snapped.

"I know you are, but-"

"See? So why can't I go by myself?"

"It's dangerous...."

"Danger is my middle name."

"It's Marie."

"It's my second middle name."

"Just go with Joseph. Liz wants you to! Look at it this way, if you don't go with Joseph, Liz is gonna be upset. Guess who's open for a crying shoulder. And you and I both know where that leads. You don't want me to end up screwing with Liz, do you?"

Liz looked at him like he was insane, but kept her mouth shut. She knew it was best if she did.

"Don't you touch her...." Angel said irritably. "And she's tougher than that. She doesn't cry over the little stuff like this."

"So she won't cry when that monster kills you? I think she'd be pretty upset," Denny stated, looking over at Liz and mouthing a "sorry." He let out a sigh, before continuing. "Go with Joseph, okay? You're our friend. We don't want you getting hurt. Just because you're a Steve magnet, or whatever doesn't mean we don't care about you."

"You don't want Joseph getting hurt though, do you?" she shot back. "I'd rather go alone and know no one would get hurt because of me."

"Joseph won't get hurt with you around," Denny sighed, before turning to the others. "Maybe if we leave 'em alone long enough, they'll go..." he said, lowering his voice.

Angel sighed. She was running out of arguments. "Please let him stay. Your lives depend on it."

'It might work, but Angel can get very persistant when she wants to be..." Elizabeth warned.

"We're safe in here, aren't we? Your life depends on him going."

"No, it doesn't! You're putting him at risk too! Don't you see that at all?!" Angel screamed.

"Well, maybe we should all go, then."

"NO!" she screamed.

Quil sighed, opening the door a crack and slipping outside, shutting it before Angel could force anyone inside.

"Quil! What are you doing!?!?!?!" Angel started to panic. Not more people trying to get killed...

"You're gonna wanna leave with us before more people come out," Quil sighed.

Angel sank to the ground on the stairs, shaking. "No.... nononononononono. You can't come. You can't come. You can't come." she repeated quietly.

Joseph sighed, his suspicions were true.

"...Denny, open the door." Joseph said.

Angel looked up at Joseph. "What are you doing?" she asked him.

Denny hesitantly opened the door, while Quil bent over to try and comfort Angel.
