The Haunted House on the Hill

"We should go there, then. Weapons can't hurt to have," Quil stated, folding her arms across her chest and peering at the journal with a frown.

"We promised Angel we'd stay here until she wakes up." Elizabeth frowned.

"Well she can come with us, then," Quil shrugged. "I didn't mean go now."

"Alright. It just sounded like you were planning on sneaking out." Elizabeth said.

Bryant sighed and continued writing. We'll probably end up going there, anyway...

Wake up....Go to the library.... find the clock.... The voice told Angel in her sleep. It was an unfamliar voice, not Ryuuzu's or Squooshy's singing. No, it was a calm voice that screamed to trust it in her gut. Angel's eyes flew open. She threw the covers back, and bolted out the door and down the stairs to the library, She tried the door. It was locked. "Fuck!" she cursed, banging on the door.

Bryant sighed and went after Angel, taking the journal with him. "We are so screwed..."

Quil jumped when Angel ran out the door, running after her.

Denny took a few more seconds to recover from the shock, before following after.

Angel began checking the top of the doorframe and on the floor, muttering over and over again about a key.

Elizabeth bolted out after Quil, and found Angel crawling on the floor muttering about a key.

"It has to be around here somewhere! We have to get in here!" Angel said, not looking up. "Come on, come on!"

"Angel! What's in there?" Aria asked, confused.

Bryant frowned and flipped through the journal, looking for anything about the door.

Joseph sighed as he and Leo followed them into the room. "Angel..."

Angel ignored Aria's question, and kept obsessively searching. "The key, the key.... where is it?" she shoved through the group and ran upstairs to the bedroom where the hideout opened into. She began trashing the room, on the hunt for that key.

"Angel! What's going on?!" Elizabeth said, following her.

Aria sighed and followed after her, grabbing Bryant and dragging him with her.

Bryant flipped through the journal, searching through his entry. He pointed to the wardrobe that Angel may or may not have trashed.

Quil moved over to the wardrobe, starting to search it.

"The key, the key, I need that key....." Angel muttered as she crawled under the bed.

Quil found a rusty key, presumably the one that opens the door to the library.

Aria frowned and walked over to the bed, then lightly kicked Angel. "Really, now..."

"Angel, I found a key, let's go," Quil stated, holding out the key.

Angel popped out from under the bed, and looked wide eyed at the key. She grabbed right out of Quil's hand and booked it down the stairs to the library, Elizabeth on her tail. She stuffed the key into the door, and opened it. Angel started looking around the room, throwing books off of shelves and searching for the clock.

Quil frowned when she saw what Angel was doing, before reluctantly starting to help her, looking for anything unusual.

Denny grabbed Liz's hand, not sure what was going on.

Liz looked around at the room, and found a clock on a shelf. She led Denny over to it, and picked it up to examine it.

Denny frowned. "Isn't time screwy here?"

"This clock.... I don't know, but it's not spinning like my watch. It seems to be moving normally." Elizabeth said.

"Clock?" Angel said, and bolted out from behind the shelf. She snatched it from Liz's hands. "This is what we need. We needed the clock." And with that, Angel threw the clock on the ground, and smashed it with her foot.

The air felt a little different. It was almost like it got lighter, and it started to feel a little bit more like normal air. It was a subtle change, but a change nonetheless.

Denny froze. "Th' hell'd you do, Angel?" he asked.

But before Angel could answer, someone's phone started ringing. It was the unmistakable sound of Violet Hill by Coldplay, which was Liz's favorite song. Liz's eyes went wide, and she answered it. "He-hello?"

"Ah! H-hello!" A girl's voice answered on the other line, before sounding a bit farther away, like she was talking to someone else. "I finally reached her!"
