The Haunted House on the Hill

"I came from... well, sort of the past, sort of the future. I rewound time. I was in a timeline where you all...." she choked on the word. "....died. I remember it all so clearly, to the point where I can barely breath." As the memories flooded through her, Angel sat down on one of the beds, holding her face in her hands as a sob racked through her body. She pulled out the journal. "It was all my fault too. I had to go and offer that deal. I had to be stupid, reckless me. I got most of you killed." she opened the book to her page in it, with accounts of the memories. There was a giant, red "3" written in blood. "...Three? There should be four." Angel said, confused. She started skimming the accounts, and saw, at the very bottom, the last person she had not saved. The last person who died because of her. Liz. She dropped the book on the ground, and started crying harder.

OOC: Wait...Joseph had the book when Angel reset time, and had kept it on him till...I thought the book was needed to do it?

...I'm confused.

Joseph knelt down beside Angel, picking up the book, and putting a hand on her shoulder, trying to comfort her, but not knowing what to say.

OOC: The book went with her because she reset time.

Elizabeth walked over to where Angel sat, and knelt in front of her. "Calm her down, let me see the book." she said to Joseph.

Joseph nodded, before handing her the book, he then focused on comforting Angel.

Elizabeth sat on a different bed, and started reading through it. There were three names written on the front cover. Ryuuzu, Angel, and... "Bryant?" she asked, confused. She looked up. "Bryant, what is this?"

Bryant, however, was still unconscious.

Elizabeth quickly realized that Bryant wasn't awake right now, and kept reading. She found the large red three, and started reading it out loud.

"One, Bryant. Threw everyone in a cell, and took the beating for them all."

"DON'T READ ANYTHING MORE!" Angel wailed.

"Two, Leo. Took a bullet for Joseph.
Three, Denny. Crates exploded, spattered him on the wall.
Four, Quil. Shot.
Five, Liz. Killed herself in grief for..." she trailed off.

"I remember it all so clearly. We were going to save you, Liz. You were kidnapped, and Denny was a wreck about it, and so he found you in the Annex, then came back to get us. Well, more like Quil, Leo, and Joseph, no one wanted me to tag along, but I came anyway to protect Joseph." Angel sobbed more. "I wanted as little people to get hurt as possible. So I offered myself up instead. But Ryuuzu.... shot at Joseph to try and get to me or something. Leo shoved Joseph out of the way. I spent the rest of that time trying to get him out, while Quil opened fire on him, and Denny tried to grab Liz and run. Ryuuzu made those crates explode, and that was the end of Denny, then that fucking blob shot Quil, then I had to go be an idiot and give a gun to Liz...." Angel moaned, and leaned on Joseph's shoulder.

Joseph hugged Angel, trying his best to help her.

After a couple minutes of silence, Leo stood up and walked over to Liz. "Can I see it?"

Elizabeth handed him the book, trying to process it all.

Leo began reading through the book, trying to learn as much as he possibly could.

Angel sobbed into Joseph as he did so, but it didn't feel the same. It didn't feel like the last time loop, not quite as comforting and loving. She missed it.

OOC: Leo?

Joseph just continued to hug her, trying to soak in everything at the same time.

"...Angel?" Leo said, after reading through the book.

OOC: Fixed.

Angel looked up. "Yeah?" she asked.

"What can yu tell me about this Ryuuzu guy?" Leo asked. In his head, an idea was forming.

"The blob and the alien are his bitches. He's powerful when they're nearby, and he came in the house first. I don't know much else about him." Angel said sadly.

Denny sat down, trying to process everything. Noticing Liz seemed to be having the same problem, he gestured for her to sit down.

Elizabeth sat down beside Denny, and stared at the floor, trying to make sure she had everything straight.

"Once you got everything, explain it to me," Denny laughed, trying to lighten the mood.

Angel looked up. "How could you NOT get it?!" she demanded. "Did I not make it clear enough?! Is "Oh hey, you're all trapped in this stupid fucking house and most likely you're going to die if I don't get you out of here" not clear enough for you?!" she screamed at him, pulling away from Joseph and standing up.

"Calm down, Angel, you were plenty clear, I'm just stupid."

"It's not a joke, Denny! It really isn't!" Angel screamed. "I want to make sure I get to see you all again. I want to see Bryant's drunken video, and I want to watch it with you all. I don't want to see your blood and guts spattered on the wall again, Denny! I don't want anyone else to die because of me!" Tears were streaming down her face now, and she was angry with everything. She needed to get out.

Denny stood up with a sigh, hugging Angel. "I'm sorry you went through that, but we're all here now."

"If I don't get you out of here, if I make one bad decision.... you won't be." she said sadly.

"So...everytime it resets, he also remembers." Leo mumbled to himself.

Angel overheard this, and nodded. "Yes."
