Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 10

"Let's get drunk then," Paul laughed, standing up and offering his hand.

Heidi grinned, grabbing Paul's hand and pulling herself up. She walked over to the makeshift fridge, pulling out a bottle of vodka. "Up for shots? S'not as good as that stuff you had, but hey. It's vodka."

"Damn right I am," Paul grinned back, walking after her and getting some glasses from wherever Heidi kept them.

"If all else fails, Tom's got a whiskey stash somewhere," Heidi chuckled, sitting down at the table, gesturing for Paul to sit across from her.

Paul sat down, passing Heidi a glass. "Sounds like a bottle of fun," he winked.

Heidi poured herself and Paul a shot each, setting the bottle between them.

Paul raised his glass. "A toast, to awesome," he announced.

Heidi chuckled, "To awesome," before clinking her glass against Paul's. With that over, she gulped down her shot.

Paul followed suit, grinning as he set down his glass. "Damn good stuff."

Heidi laughed, pouring herself and Paul another shot.

Paul downed the shot as well, the alcohol seeming to have no effect on him.

Heidi started giggling after the fourth or so shot, her face starting to get a bit red. She got up, pulling a couple beers out of the fridge, handing half to Paul.

Paul cracked open the beer and took a long drink his shot glass wonbling in the air.

Heidi laughed, grabbing the shot glass out of the air and putting it back down on the table. "Y'should be'ya magician!"

"That sounds like a good idea!" Paul laughed along.

Heidi continued to laugh to herself, opening a beer and drinking some, before shakily pouring some vodka into the can and chugging the rest. "I win!"

"Oh no you don't!" Paul laughed, chugging the vodka itself.

Victoria stayed quiet as they walked to the building of sorts.

Elena shrugged as the rain stopped, though she was pretty thoroughly soaked.

"Dammit, Paul!" Heidi scowled, shaking a fist and opening another beer. If she couldn't have the vodka, she could at least have the beer.

"I owe you a case of vodka," Paul gasped, chuckling.

Heidi leaned over the table, prodding Paul's forehead with her finger. "Damn straight 'y do."

"I wonder what they will have in there," Victoria mused to herself.

"I hope they have shiny marbles," Elena repeated.

"So do I," Victoria said and smiled at her.

Elena ran ahead a bit, trying to get everyone else to hurry up.
