SHOT in the Back

The city of Marisol has enjoyed four brief years of peace in the wake of the assassination of its former mayor. Soon after his ex-aid and assistant; Florence Bakura appeared with supposed proof of the mayor's misdeeds and off the record activities, shocking the people of the city who had seen the man as a saviour from the seemingly never ending war between de Luca and Ching families, but instead it was Bakura who had brought both sides to the table and united them against a common foe, and at the same time effectively indebted both families to him in one swift move and bringing them under his heel. Through a clever use of a well practiced facade and great acts of charity and donations; "Working from within the community to create a better community for the people," Bakura's popularity sky rocketed, quickly replacing his former mentor and employer, becoming the mayor of Marisol.

Now, four years later and the local elections have rolled around, and Bakura stands almost unopposed in the wake of his previous success. But Something is building in the Marisol underworld, a new drug ring responsible for the creation of a new substance known as simply as Orpheus. Supposedly capable of letting the user experience pure bliss, Orpheus is gaining more and more momentum as it spreads through the city, whilst sinister forces seeker to tear apart the shaky alliance the Ching's and de Luca's have come to posses. In the midst of the carnage Orpheus has sown, a native son to Marisol has been released from prison - the one man more feared than Spike at the peek of his reign of terror.

Could all these things be connected? All that is clear that Bakura has something planned for the city that has come to adore him and he no longer has need for either of the families that helped him rise to power. With the end game unknown and gang warfare back on the rise, it looks as though the old days of bloodshed look to descend back down upon Marisol once more. But this time, we this time the city might not be able to crawl its way back out of hell a second time.

Right, so, was bored and reading over the old SHOT threads earlier and I figured that RS did get to migrate over here, if a little different from back home on FF.net, I thought it was only fair that SHOT got a second chance of life on here. What do you guys think, I have a plot lined out in my head to do with all of the above, shouldn't be a massively long RP , but we'll see, I just don't want to go fleshing out the plot if no one else is interested in this venture, so let me know, yeah?

I still haven't done much with SHOT since it went on pseudo-hiatus. I'm the one who first created the storyline. XP Hopefully this RP will get me to return to Marisol.
