"And where's Simon up to these days? And sorry, you'll have to speak up, it's hard to hear you from down there," Tom teased gently, failing to keep a straight face for once.

"He's not that much taller than me, dammit!" Heidi replied flusteredly, punching Tom's arm.

"Of course not, of course not..." Tom soothed her, rubbing his arm in feigned pain. "...But he is taller..."

"Urrraggh," Heidi groaned defeatedly, pulling at her hair. "God dammit..."

"Plus, I don't know how you stack up to everyone else. Simon could just be tall. I know I'm taller than most, so I can't compare to you."

OOC: I'mma pretend I didn't see that typo, unless Tombo's sexually harassing Heidi.

"Well, uh..." Heidi trailed off, deciding she wouldn't tell Tom that she was pretty sure she was only taller than a handful of people nowadays.

"Yes?" Tom asked curiously, figuring he knew what the pause was but he would give Heidi a chance.

"Yeah, I'm taller than loads of people," Heidi laughed nervously, lying through her teeth.

"See? It ain't all bad. 'Course, to me, I'll always insult you about your height. But that's only because it brings me great amusement," Tom finished like everything he said was completely alright.

Neo would have made a comment aloud about the fact that Apparently Tom was like him.

...Good for him.

"Anything else, Erika?" Neo asked.

"That'll be good for now. Thanks, Neo." The woman smiled.

Nathan felt her pull him tighter and he let out a pained sigh. "I don't want to," he explained. "I guess it's the curse I get for being Shima's pet project."

"Anything to keep you amused," Heidi responded sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

"...I'm sorry," Sage said after a minute.

"Right then, call if you need me," Neo gave a wave and went off to find the Illuminati.

"Glad we see eye to eye, at least figuratively," Tom replied with a grin.

Heidi punched his arm again. "Well at least I won't hit my head on the doorways!"

"...Touché. I can't deny that is a problem," Ton admitted with a rueful chuckle, rubbing his arm again. With all the times he'd been punched on that arm, eventually it had to bruise.

Heidi laughed, before glancing behind Tom. "So, what were you up to before I interrupted?"

"Well, Luke and Kira set up this makeshift Taco Bell for the people who were left hungry, what eighths village being destroyed and that. So I figured I'd help out. Figure it's mostly done by now, but there might be some left if you're hungry," Tom explained approvingly. He was always big on charity.

"Nah, I'm good. Not big on tacos anyway. 'Specially not from Taco Bell," Heidi shrugged, screwing up her face in disgust even though Tom couldn't see it. Ew, Taco Bell.

"I figure they just made whatever they had the ingredients for. I never actually had Taco Bell, they never cane to Ireland. Well, there might have been one in the city. Was it that bad?" he asked quizzically.

"I'm pretty sure there was a lawsuit or something about whether they could call their meat "meat" because there was more filler than actual animal parts. Pretty bad," Heidi answered, shaking her head. Gross.

"Ugh. That's nasty. Well I'm pretty sure what Luke and Kira had was actual meat, considering I can feel people hunting. But still, that'd put me off tacos for life, I think," Tom replied, his face screwing up at the thought.

"I dunno, cancer makes everything taste better," Heidi shrugged jokingly.

"It is the best sauce," Tom agreed jokingly. He was half surprised no-one had actually got the big C in the wasteland, considering their generally bad luck and the amount of kids that were smoking. He'd known a few people with cancer back before the storm, and it wasn't a nice disease.
