Kira giggled, her face gaining a bit of a pinkish tinge. "You're worth a lot more than just helping me g-get over nightmares, silly," she scolded lightly.

Benji stared at Simon, before rolling his eyes. "You'll get along with Josh. You're both sentimental wusses," he stated matter-of-factly.

Simon frowned, looking up and staring at Benji across the room. "Look, like I've stated a hundred times before I'm not your enemy or your replacement or whatever the hell you say I am- I am sorry about what has happened and I want us to get along."

The boy stood up again from his seat, continuing to stare at Benji. "That isn't going to happen as long as you act like a juvenile brat."

After saying his peace, Simon walked back into his room to wake up Elena.

Since he wasn't preparing for the upcoming battle just yet, Paul decided to visit Heidi, wondering if she was in a better mood. Walking up to her house, he knocked on the door.

"I know," Luke grinned back. "Still gives me the warm fuzzies hearing you say it though."

Benji rolled his eyes, folding his arms across his chest and walking outside. Simon wasn't a replacement? Then why did he have Dad's knife? Benji wouldn't have cared if Heidi still had it, but Simon had never even known their father! Why should he get the knife? It wasn't fair.

Stupid Simon thought this was just about Heidi.

As he stormed out the door, he ran into Paul, shooting a glare at him as well. "If you're going to talk to Heidi, good luck. She's grumpy," he cautioned, before agilely scaling up to the roof of the house.

Kira smiled widely, glad she could do something to make Luke feel better about himself. "Warm fuzzies?" she giggled. "You give me plenty of those, too."

Simon walked over to the bed and shook Elena's shoulder gently. "Elena, come on. Time to get up..."

Paul raised an eyebrow. "Well I better see what's the matter," he answered, mostly to himself as he let himself in.

"Glad to be of service," Luke laughed, sitting back down on the bed. He was always happy to offset Kira's worries.

Heidi was sitting on the couch, throwing bits of her spear at the wall like darts, and recalling them when she needed more.

Elena groaned. "I dun wanna..." she whined, not opening her eyes.

Kira stretched her arms upward, having been put in a very happy mood. "I'll get some breakfast..." she announced walking onto the ledge outside the treehouse.

"Uh, Heidi?" Paul blinked after watching her for a second.

Heidi stared at Paul for a second, before her Flow flared up. "Get the fuck out of here!" she shouted at him, forming her spear and getting to her feet.

Simon pat the girls hair. "You have to. coem on, I'll make some bread wit that really nice strawberry jelly for sandwiches."

Paul blinked at her, staring into her eyes. "Do I get a reason?"

"Awesome," Luke yawned, leaning out the window. Inside, he was thinking that it was important to remain positive in face of their impending doom.

"No you don't get a motherfucking reason!" Heidi shouted. "You got five seconds to get out before I stop your heart!"

Elena yawned, at least opening her eyes now. "...You go make that...I'm gonna get a few more minutes..."

Kira came back in with a small basket of fruit, setting it next to Luke, before sitting back down on her bed. She closed her eyes, trying to go back to focusing on shrinking the forest again.

Luke idly munched on fruit, sitting cross-legged on his bed.

"Whatchu doin'?" he asked curiously.

"I'm not gonna stop you," Paul shrugged, "But if you really want me gone, say please."

"Howabout you help me?" Simon suggested, trying to ignore the sounds of an impending argument.

"Hey..." Joey said, walking up to his wife, he hadn't had much time to talk to her yesterday, due to the events of what happened, but he now needed to make the most of the time he had left with her. "You got everything packed up?"

"Working on shrinking the forest a bit... Right now all someone would have to do would be, I dunno, poison it or something, and I'd probably die just from Flow damage," Kira answered, careful not to say burn it down. While she trusted Luke to not start any fires and keep any that happened under control, the idea of her forest burning down was still terrifying.

Elena sighed, rolling out of bed and sleepily rubbing her eyes.

Heidi hissed, clenching her fists. "Will you please stay the fuck away from me?"

Erika tried to turn in her seat but her stomach made that difficult. "...Yes, everything we need is packed up."

The woman's lip started to tremble. "Joey... Joey please-"

Simon gave the girl a small smile. "Get dressed while I get started, okay?"

"Okay..." Elena yawned, trudging towards the extra dress she'd brought over.

"Okay, but only cause you asked," Paul said, exiting the house.

"...I'm afraid to say it, cause I might end up jinxing myself, but..." Joey knelt down, and pulled her in to a hug. "I'm not going to die, I still have a family to take care of." He said, doing his best to comfort her.

Heidi fell into silence as Paul left, though that quickly changed once the door was shut behind him. "Fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK!" she cursed, throwing her spear at the wall and continuing to shout as it impaled itself in the wall.
