Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer

"I dunno, wasn't Nathan talking about moving a mountain earlier?" Luke asked vaguely.

"I-I'm not sure..." Kira mumbled. "D-Do you think h-he would move th-the forest...?"

"I'd say he would. You think he wouldn't?" Luke asked, surprised slightly at her reaction.

"I-I dunno..." Kira mumbled, retracting a bit further into her shell.

"I reckon he would. Besides, it's probably Joey or Tom that'll be doing the moving," Luke decided, thinking about it further.

"O-Okay...I'd be...f-fine with that..." Kira responded after a few seconds.

"Cool, much better," Luke smiled, just happy to have stopped Kira's tears.

Kira nodded slightly, pushing a small smile onto her face. "Th-Thanks, Luke..."

"Just here to help," Luke grinned, plopping down on the ledge comfortably.

Kira sat down next to Luke, looking down at the ground as she swung her legs back and forth.

"Again," Zackary said to either Neo and Jayden. All three looked pretty beat up and tired. Neo was sitting down, leaning back.

"Dude, we've been going at this for hours..." Neo breathed out, as Jayden fell backwards. "We're tired..."

"Neo is correct...We're tired." Jayden confirmed, readjusting his rapier.

"Fine, we'll take a small break then..." Zackary grumbled, sheathing his sword onto his back, and then strapped his shield to his back.

"I'm going to go see Kira and Luke." Jayden said.

Elena frowned slightly, staring at her backpack. She felt like she was missing something, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Jayden went towards the forest, wondering why it looked so much smaller...

Kira stiffened slightly, before relaxing once she realized it was only Jayden. "Jayden's here," she told Luke, though she figured he could sense Flows now. "I'm going to go talk to him..." she said, pushing herself off the ledge, a vine catching her, before setting her back on the ground. "I'll be back in a minute!" she called up, before heading towards Jayden.

"Something wrong?" Simon asked as he walked up to the girl with some sandwiches.

Jayden waited near the edge of the forest, since he knew about Kira and her fears of others.

Kira hesitantly poked her head out of the trees, waving to Jayden. "H-Hello..." she greeted him cautiously.

Elena bit her lip, playing with a zipper on her backpack. "You...didn't really want to leave, did you?"

Simon's face slackened at the question. She knows.

The boy controlled his expression and stashed te sandwiches into Elena's backpack before zipping it up. "...Yes. I want to help the others and fight for our home."

Elena's face fell slightly, as she stared at the backpack, her hands shaking. "And what if you...what if you died? What happens then?" she asked, something almost akin to anger and fear filling her voice.

"I just thought I should come and check up on you, Luke, and the forest," Jayden said, returning the wave.

"Th-Thank you for h-helping me," Kira smiled. "Things are fine r-right now..."

"Then I would die!" Simon yelled back.

"No problem, just making sure," Jayden said, shifting his stance a little.

Elena clenched her fists, glaring at Simon through the tears stream down her face. How was this fair? She wanted to be strong too, like Erika and Heidi and Adeline, but without a Flow she could never even hold a candle to them. But here was Simon, who probably be better off without a Flow, and he wanted to charge right into battle. Wasn't he supposed to be the smart one? "You...you...I..." she whimpered.

Kira stiffened when Jayden moved, quickly relaxing again. "U-Um...if you s-see Nathan, c-could you tell h-him that I need to ask him s-something?"

"Of course," Jayden said with a nod of his head. "I shall go look for him in that case."
