To Be a Superhero (Blossoming RP)

It began in the mid-forties. The world had just gotten through one of the biggest events in it's human history. It was around this time, that they first started popping up. Humans who were able to go beyond limits that no one would have dreamed crossing. People who could bend steel, start fires, control electronics, and even fly. Some decided to use these powers for the good of mankind, and some used it for their own selfish reasons. This was the dawn of the first Superheroes and Super-villains, and the battles between the two had already started to begin. These powers and some of the people had a wide variety of origins, whether it was ancient magic from Earth, or another realm, to advance mutation, some even have origins from off this very world.

In the early fifties, there was an uproar. Discrimination against these people broke out, riots tore through the streets, protesters stood outside government buildings, demanding the locking up of these people. This went on for several years, and peace only came a decade later. People world round had come to be more accepting of those with unique abilities, as they had begun to grow in number, and become more common place. But there were still those who used they're abilities for evil, and the conflict between Superheroes and Super-villains continued.

In the late sixties, governments around the world began to cooperate more with the heroes in their conflict with the villains. This was when the first of normal human beings, joining the ranks of heroes began. Some where wealthy people, with combat training, who had their own specials gadgets to help fight crime. Some where brilliant minds, who constructed technology, vehicles, and even power-suits, for the same exact reason.

Today, those who want to be heroes, register with the government, with the requirement of being 18 or older, being able to combat against Super-villains on their own, if necessary, and know the risk they will be taking, and how dangerous it was. Unregistered Superheroing is illegal, and heroes will be asked to stop any who do. Having a Secret Identity is optional, but is strongly suggested, due to the dangers that come with being known as Superhero to everyone. The identities of Superheroes is one Only a fraction of those with the skills and/or abilities to become Superheroes, actually do. Most Superheroes don't survive into old age, and warnings are given since early childhood of how dangerous a life it is. But those few are the ones who oppose the more evil and powerful beings of the world.

Ok, basically, this is a Superhero RP, you know, like the Marvel or DC comic-books. The conflict is between the registered Superheroes who live in the fictional city of Corrox City, who you'll be RPing as, and the Super-villains they face, who some will be able to RP as, but only a few, and you need permission from me to make one. This is a Blossoming RP, so be ready to write a paragraph, but this is going to be a semi-fast paced RP, so you better be ready.

I tried to explain as much as I could, feel free to ask questions.

Sounds like Watchmen, which I totally dig. The only thing I'm apprehensive of is the fact that you say that it's going to be semi-fast-paced. I can handle that, I think, but I already have a fair few RP commitments of my own, between here, and ZEJ...

I'll try my best to keep on top of things, of course, but I just hope you don't mean it'll be going TOO fast~
