Is privacy the most important human right?
This is from a school speech assignment that I've had recently; I'd like to hear what others feel about the right of privacy.
Some questions to consider:
Legal definitions aside, what should be considered privacy invasion and what shouldn't? Why do celebrities seem to have a decreased right of privacy when they are publicized? Do you believe that privacy is more important than other rights, including the right to live? Why or why not? Does the government have the right to invade its citizens' privacy if it means that its well being will be preserved? Would it be justified?

Re: Is privacy the most important human right?
While privacy isn't really as important as the right to live, I dislike invasion of privacy, especially by the government. The government poking around my porn business is angering, and I dislike it a lot. I want to be able to decide who knows my business and who doesn't, and celebrities made the choice to flaunt their business and use it as a tool to get money. It's their decision, it doesn't affect me, I don't care.
