Country Info: The Kingdom of Nirshire Empty Country Info: The Kingdom of Nirshire

The Kingdom of Nirshire, though not primarily a large expansion of territory on a single continent, is vast. One can say that in this world, the sun never sets upon the Kingdom.

It is a council based monarchy, with the Royalty being the head of the said council. Nirshire is ruled by a widowed King whom has two sons; a father and his two princes. Apart from the Council, the military is also a heavy influence in the functions of the Kingdom itself. This military is headed by the Royalty with the assistance of six powerful generals. There is one Archgeneral, and five subordinating generals.

The functions of the Kingdom seem to run very smoothly, but under this positive crust is a very rumor-heavy filling. Despite the very un-faltered pace of functions, a conspiracy has been brought to the table that is most popular with not the citizens (for they have not the idea of it) but the military itself. Many of the Kingdom's soldiers have come to the conclusion that the Queen had not died from illness. It was her husband's father, the previous King, whom had left her spouse the throne leaving his younger brother an Archprince. However, the children the King and Queen would come to bear together were far too young to take the throne when their father would die leaving the opportunity to their uncle to ascend. He was the only befitting one. Hell, even after the Archprince ascended to King, the former Queen had no choice but to marry him to keep the princes in line for the throne. Ever since the ascension of the current King, no battles were waged with Panaya, seemingly setting the assumption that the two countries have finally come to the agreement of peace.

That in due time will be brought more to light.

Aside from this, Nirshire is a land heavily involved with both magic and alchemy.

The Kingdom

The Kingdom of Nirshire is vast, though not in one single area. It shares a continent with Planaya, but is far more terrain diverse. The capital of the Kingdom, Spire, resides in its heart (the central area). Spire is a very large island in the middle of the Kingdom, and the body of water surrounding the island known as Royal's Thread is connecting to two rivers that stream downward from Planaya, but no other water body within the Kingdom of Nirshire aside from small ponds and streams.

Surrounding the area of Spire is the forest territory. The major city of Admad resides within this territory, as well as four rather large towns. Bordering the Admad Forest territory are two other territories.

There is the Sten Mountains territory, which holds the major city of Sten and two rather large towns.

Then, there is Reta, the desert territory. There is only one major city and no other settlements in Reta.

Far off the coast of the Kingdom of Nirshire, but still rather close, are six islands know as the Mizu Isles. The Mizu Isles territory has one major city called Mizu, and one large town. Both are on seperate islands, and the remaining four islands are uninhabited. The Kingdom has yet to explore them, according to the known knowledge across the world.

The Kingdom's final territory is the Zamerzat Tundras. This territory consists of one major city, Zamerzat, and no other settlements. This territory however is a northern island very far away from the continent its King resides in. It is close to the North Pole of this world.

The Cities
Spire
Admad
Sten
Reta
Mizu
Zamerzat

All of the major cities are the home to one major force in the Kingdom. Mizu, Zamerzat, Sten, Adhmad and Reta are the homes to the five subordinating generals. Spire is home to the Royal Family; the Archgeneral is from the Royal bloodline, the eldest Prince.

Each city a general resides in is said to reflect their apparent powers. No one has seen the Generals' magic and lived to tell the tale, as far as the Kingdom's government is aware of.

As for the population, I leave that to your imagination for honestly I don't know what number to set it at. It's a kindgom that's pretty stretched across the world consisting of mainly very large cities, plus more settlements. If I were to place a number, it'd be a little lower than Planaya's population.

Currency:
100 Copper = 1 Silver
10 Silver = 1 Gold
100 Gold = 1 Platinum
1000 Platinum = 1 Royal

Government and Military

As stated previously, the nation is ran by the Monarchy-Council plus the military. The council consists of seven individuals. The councilmen are:
(to be named)
King Tholamin Frostfire
Prince Aedan Frostfire
Duke Sole Scuro
Duke Daniel Frostfire
Councilman
Councilman
Councilman

The citizens are allowed to elect three councilman. Prior to the King's ascension the number was an allowed six, but the King has set the three other seats to other Royals. This includes his two brothers whom are Dukes and the youngest Prince.

The military is headed by six individuals that answer to the King. They are:

Archgeneral Prince Djinn Frostfire of Spire
General Stone Arm of Sten
General Quiver of Adhmad
General Flashflame of Mizu
General Lightblade of Zamerzat
General Shadowbreath of Reta

The names of the generals are not their actual names, but the names they have earned through their careers. Each name given reflects their power.

The Royals consists only of five family members. They are:

King Tholamin Frostfire
Archgeneral Prince Djinn Frostfire
Prince Aedan Frostfire
Duke Sole Scuro
Duke Daniel Frostfire

Dukes = King's elder brothers

As you may have noticed, the youngest Prince has a different sir-name than the rest of his family. Upon becoming a man, he had chosen to uphold his mother's maiden name (the name of his ancestor whom was the previous King). This is for plot reasons. The Kingdom and its Government believe it was to honor his mother.

Regarding the Military
The military has three sections:
Magi
Alchemists
Land and Sea

The L&S troops are scattered across the Kingdom. Lightblade is the General in charge of the Sea sector of L&S while Quiver leads the Land sector.

The Alchemists are lead by Shimmerflame and Stone Arm, and the Magi by Shadowbreath.

The Archgeneral Prince leads a force of advanced alchemists very low in number. The elite of the military.
