Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 2

"Can't say, I don't think he's ever seen me in a state," Tom shrugged, not sure what else to call it.

"That's just 'cuz he's sheltered," Heidi stated, before sighing. "Remind me never to get so attached to a kid again, I suck as a guardian."

"Well Simon turned out well then, for having such a suckish guardian," Tom retorted, noting how often Heidi gave in to self-loathing.

"I mean, he's a good kid, he's a great kid, he just can't fight at all. Some day, I'm gonna kick the bucket, and then nobody'll defend him," Heidi scowled.

"I'll look over him when you can't, and besides, you got plenty left in you," Tom consoled. "Abyway, that's his Flow's fault, not yours."

"I can still out run him, he needs to at least have a chance to escape..."

Joey heard a crash, and mentally cursed. ...Out of all times....now?!

When Erika heard the crash, her eyes narrowed. "Everyone, duck!"

People did just in time as the Church windows shattered.

Elena screamed, clutching Simon's sleeve as she ducked.

Joey pulled Erika down as it crashed through the windows, and after a moment, stood up. "Ok...who is it, this time?!" Joey said, now pissed.

Just when Joey yelled these words, a strange purple smoke began to fill the room. Simon took a breath of air, before quickly closing his mouth and covering it as he felt woozy. "Don't breathe in the smoke!"

OOC: Gotta go.

Elena covered her mouth and nose with the neckline of her dress, clutching Simon's hand tightly. What was going on?!

Adeline quickly covered her mouth and nose with a handkerchief. Even if she did breathe the smoke in, she wouldn't feel woozy, but that didn't mean her body wouldn't still be weakened. She peered through the smoke, trying to see where it was coming from and who was attacking.

Joey covered his mouth and noise, looking to see who had interrupted their wedding.

"Eithne, someone's attacking the village!" A voice yelled to the Scottish teen who stood watching as forces entered the village and attacked the church.

"Ya think I dident know that?" He spat rhetorically. "I'm just gonna' watch fer a bit."

Simon hung on to Elena and started to navigate out of the Church using the back entrance while other villagers ran out as well, preparing to fight.

What met them was multiple people, most kids or in there early teens, with Flows and weapons ready.

Those foes soon saw Joey starting to walk up to them. "Who are you...and why are you here?" He asked, with no hint of emotion in his voice.

Adeline frowned and pulled out her pocket watch, ready to make a barrier if she needed to.

The kids didn't reply, looking at the village with a blank, almost vacant expression.

Until one of them brought out a shotgun and started to scream. The rest followed.

The villagers were about to go on the offensive, but Joey raised his hand, and they all stopped. "Wait...I'll handle this." He said, before walking forward, an intense, pure white Flow beginning to radiate off of his body.

Some of the kids who hit the field were thrown back while others skittered to a stop. The one with a shot gun fired.

Erika was next to Joey, looking very confused, but also... having a strange feeeling overcome her. How can there be so many kids. It's pointless for them to try and defeat us since a good portion of us are adults...

Elena whimpered as she felt Simon guide her to the back entrance, opening her eyes when she was sure they were outside. "Wh-What's going on?" she asked, looking about on the verge of tears.

Simon shook his head. "I... I don't know. But we need to go and get help."

OOC: Flow color changes with the person. He's gone from Tan, to Pure White.

"...Mrs. Hadden...I say it's about time we put a stop to this." Joey said, staring at the wild, young teens.

"Who? Where?" Elena asked, unsure of where they were going to get help from.
