Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 2

"Nah, just means I have to be careful about what I say underneath my breath," Sage responded with a smile. "I wonder...who else is around...?"

"Good question," Paul answered, "Shall we go find out?"

"Sure, why not?" Sage responded to Paul as she pushed herself off the staff and spun it around quickly.

"No need to try and impress me, Sage," Paul sweatdropped, smiling a little.

Sage blinked, staring at him. "What do you mean 'impress'? I was showing off."

"Look around, who else is watching you twirl your staff?" Paul asked, an amused look in his eye.

"...God dammit," Sage huffed and her cheeks puffed up. "I wasn't showing off for you."

"...Where are Elena and Simon?" The brunette asked.

"Ah, don't worry," Paul chuckled, "Lets go find who's in charge."

With her cheeks still puffed up,Sage started to wander around with Paul to find otu who was in charge.

This place seems alright... Zackary thought to himself as he wandered.

"I saw them when I was flying back from getting rid of the jeep, they were in the forest." Joey said. "I told Dan to send a patrol to go and get them."

"I should go help them..." Erika said, getting to her feet, worried about the two.

"Erika, calm down." Joey ysaid, his hand still on her shoulder. "You just got up."

Meanwhile, a patrol in the forest had finally spotted Simon and Elena. "Hey!" Dan called to the two kids, before heading over to them.

"I wonder...." Paul thought out loud, "if Joey is in charge."

"If he is, somehow, I don't think this place would still be standing like how it is..." Sage responded.

"Why say that?" Paul asked.

"All I did was get knocked out. I'm fine." Erika replied.

"Not the brightest bulb I've meet. If I recall correctly..." Sage closed her eyes for a moment. "His...girlfriend...Eria? Aria? Seemed to be more dominate than him, I'd more than wager she's in charge, or at least is an adviser if Joey is in charge."

"Plus he doesn't seem like leader material."

Paul nodded. "I guess I see what you're getting at."

Joey nodded. "Still, we don't know what that gas was, and I'd prefer it if you at least rested a bit more before doing anything.

Sage gave Paul another nod. "So, how're we going about finding the real leader? Idiotboy said something about Ade?"

"Somehow I don't think she's the leader," Paul shrugged, "But I'm headed where you're headed so.."

"Joey, please." The woman turned her big blue eyes on her husband. "I promise to return shortly, Mr. Hadden."

"Well, I have no idea where I'm going...or who's who...you're really one of the only people I can remember...other than Kira..." Sage said quietly, sighing as she looked around.

Joey sighed, before smiling. "...Ok then, Mrs. Hadden, let's get going."
