The Overlord's Court

Kyruna pushed herself up this time. "Of course, Overlord."

The Overlord nodded with a smile, before looking down at the book. "I see you've been studying fire-magic..."

"I plan to master every element, someday," Kyruna stated firmly.

"That's quite a goal..." The Overlord said. "I'll be honest, it won't be easy, only those who descend from the Five have been able to do so."

"I will." Kyruna said, with a determined expression. One that would be obvious, she would find a way to succeed. Or, die trying.

"Well then...how bout I give you some lessons sometimes." The Overlord said, stepping toward the girl. "It would be helpful to learn from someone who has already mastered them, would it not?"

"That...it would..." Kyruna mused to herself, and then recalled that she had promised she would protect his little sister.

"Also, I thank you for agreeing to protect my sister." Isaiah said, a grateful look in his eyes. "How bout we have them when you two have spare time?"

"I would like that, if she would like," Kyruna nodded.

The Overlord smiled, his eyes seeming to glow as he looked into hers. "I'm glad to hear it, so when will you two be free next?"

"I-i have n-no idea..." Kyruna responded.

"Well...tell me when you find out." The Overlord said, the glow in his eyes seemed to disappear after saying this.

"O-of co-course..." Kyruna responded again, trying to control her heartbeat. Something...seemed different now.

"Good...I'll see you later thn." The Overlord said, smiling.

"Y-yes..." Kyruna said, nodding at the Overlord, and curtseying.

"I'll be seeing you." The Overlord said with a nod, before turning to leave.

"F-fa-far-farewell...Y-you-your h-highness..." she said, curtseying again. She tried to figure out what was going on.

Lucrezia looked on after collecting a few books a scrolls. She let Kyruna collect her bearings before she spoke. "You wish to learn Fire magic?"

"I wish to learn all of the elements..." Kyruna responded, shaking her head for a second. That was weird...

"Thankfully that's an element I have knowledge of," Lucrezia smiled. "Once I drop these off would you wish to see a demonstration?"

"If you would not mind," Kyruna said truthfully. Still...she couldn't shake off the feeling from before.

She would ask her brother about that, later.

"Good. I've made my selection. If your ready let's be on our way." Lucrezia replied.

Kyruna put the book back onto the shelf. "I am ready."

The girl made her way back out of the library, unknowlingly passing Magnus as she went. After dropping off the books and scrolls within her chambers a lady in waiting helped her dress into her training robes, which were a tunic and long trousers. Her long hair was put into one long braid.

"Let's go, shall we?" Lucrezia said once she was finished.

"Yes, let us. Maybe, I could teach you a element in return? I only have mastered Light, Darkness and Lightning so far," Kyruna responded to herl. Excited to see Fire in action, having forgotten that her brother could use Fire.
