Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 9

"...Why are you sorry?" Adeline asked, shrugging. She carefully removed the glass from her watch so she could fix the time. "It wasn't your fault."

OOC: What did they do with Andrea?

"I knew you were going up there, I should have come with you," Heidi sighed. "We're teammates, we're s'pose'd to watch each other's backs, and I failed miserably again."

OOC: Tom has her.

OOC: Oh yay. He'll be there when she burns to death yay~/shot

Adeline frowned, before putting away her watch. "Don't worry about me..." She sighed and stood up, no longer needing support. "I'm going to the church. Wanna come with?"

"Sure... You seen Erika yet? Usually she tries to keep me away from the shithead, but I haven't seen her around..." Heidi frowned slightly. Despite what Ade said, she was still going to worry. It was their job to protect each other.

Adeline shook her head. "I hope she's okay..."

Heidi fell quiet, biting her lip. How badly had she fucked up? First Benji and Simon, then Ade, now possibly Erika?

Adeline frowned. "Come on. Let's go."

"Okay..." Heidi murmured, following behind Ade.

Joey was currently looking around. Erika hadn't returned last night, and he was very worried.

Once they made it to the church, Adeline headed straight towards Aila's room. The teen was sleeping, as usual. Adeline sighed and a ghostly aura appeared around Aila for a few seconds, before fading away.
"...Yeah, that should work for now..."

"What'd you do?" Heidi asked, peering curiously at the sleeping girl.

"Just in case those guys try to attack us," Adeline said, before heading towards Kriska's and Bryant's room.
Kriska pulled out her dagger when she saw Adeline, not recognizing her because of the veil, but settled down when the woman showed her the watch.

Heidi opened her mouth to ask what the hell Ade was going on about, but decided to shut her trap when Kriska pulled out a dagger, her own spear forming in her hands. Even after she lowered the weapon, she still kept it up out of nervous habit.

Adeline pulled up a chair and sat by Bryant's bed. "Hey," she said, showing him her watch. "Remember me?"
Bryant blinked. "Guruguru...?"
"...Don't call me that," Adeline hissed, flicking the boy's forehead. "Anyway, can you use your Flow to keep an eye on Tim, Andy, and Aila? You can do that, right?"
Bryant frowned, but nodded. "...Yeah."

OOC: Fun fact. Tom can't see.

Heidi raised an eyebrow, remaining silent. She had no idea what was going on.

"Thanks," Adeline said, nodding. "I'll talk to you later, then." She stood up and left.
Once Adeline left, Kriska raised an eyebrow. "How do you know her...?"
"She's my Ate," Bryant said, shrugging. "Her parents used to own La Vida."

Tom sat in a makeshift shelter in the village, Andrea on the other side of a stone wall with only a small hole for Tom to talk through. He didn't want to risk her escaping. Clasping his fingers together, he waited for her to awake.

Luke tried to keep Kira awake as painlessly as he could.

"Wha...?" Andrea blinked as she looked around her little stone prison. "Shit."

Kira blinked at Luke, grabbing his arm to get his attention. "Did you stay...stay up all...night?" she asked for about the fifth time in the past hour. Apparently, with lack of sleep came short term memory loss.

"Afternoon," Tom started calmly. "I have a few questions for you."

Luke nodded his head again. Kira couldn't keep this up. As much as he hated to admit it, if Nathan wanted to he could easily break through the barrier.

"Yeah, I did," he repeated. "Maybe you should get some sleep..."

Nathan glanced up at the sky. It was going to rain that was for certain... the sooner they got going, the better.

"And why should I answer them?" Andrea replied calmly, even though she was panicking inside. Tim has my doll... He can kill me right now if he wanted to...

"I'm fine..." Kira insisted with a yawn. "You're tired, too...I...bet. Go t' sleep..."
