Nightfall, Children of the Elements Part 1

Leon listened as Aculeus ran screaming into the crowd of demons, "If he uses those tactics he's not liable to make it." he yelled back to Issac who he sensed behind him.

The demons charged Aculeus but they all fell quickly to Nassvegil's unquenchable thirst, some also fell to the rifle that the other boy had picked up. A demon got a lucky hit and Aculeus' right cheek was split open but luckily he hadn't lost any teeth or his tongue. Ignoring the burning pain he slew the upstart demon. The Greater Demon now came running down upon Aculeus with a sudden fury and before he knew it Aculeus had been slashed across his torso, his blood pouring from the wound.

He looked up at his foe and smiled. Aculeus leaped over the Greater and came down on its back. The demon speared Aculeus with a claw and fling him into a wall, but not before it had lost its wings. Aculeus rose up from the wall, possibly for the last time, and charged the demon once more. Instead of leaping, he slid under the demon and used his blade to disembowel the creature. Aculeus leaned on Nassvegil and looked at the carnage, then noticed a second wave but it had no Greater with it, he also noticed Leon and Isaac running up from the tower. He looked on at the next wave and weakly raised his blade once more.

Sam raised a spike through the ground right behind Sparrow. "Yes ma'am." she said. As the spike receded, a rather large flying demon hit the ground behind her. She loosed several more bullets out at the mass of demons, then dropped the gun, and slammed both palms on the ground. The ground shook for a second, and the asphalt exploded, a massive human-shaped thing rose out, made of mud and stone. It raised one huge fist, and smashed it down on the demons. It made a roaring sound, then picked up a chunk of debris, and hurled it into the sky, knocking out a large portion of the flying demons. It threw a few more things, smashed some more demons approaching on the ground, and then fell apart.
Sam backed against a wall, scooping her gun back up, and sliding down to a sitting position. She was shaking slightly, from the massive amounts of energy required to summon the mud people. On the plus side, most of the demons near the tower were dead...

Manda was behind a tank of trashcan's firing at any demon that came into close range, aiming for the center mass before ducking back down.

Any that were left, were then speared by Suzume's metal. Some were speared more than once, through the head, heart, anywhere.

Any that didn't get speared, were shot at by thousands of needles.

Leon noticed the second wave and decided to end this quickly, "Stand back." he said to Issac and Aculeus. Leon channeled his light and dark powers into his swords and swung them both in opposite arcs. The power he had channeled was released from the blades and laid waste to the whole second wave approaching.

Aculeus turned to Isaac and smiled before he collapsed, his injured leg unable to support him anymore. Aculeus swore he could hear his mom singing as he fell to the ground unconcious.

"Mr. Aculeus is down!" Manda called out.

Isaac charged forward, directly in front of Aculeus. He rose large spikes out of the ground, creating a sort of spear wall in front of the new wave of demons, he made one arm a lance, and kept the other free, then backed up, and wrapped an arm around Aculeus's torso. "You're fuckin' crazy man..." he said, chuckling.
Then Leon came forward, and with a slash, completely leveled the second wave. "Holy shit!" he yelled, letting the lance shatter, then grabbing hold of Aculeus with it. "Alright, flowerboy, keep your eyes open...We're gonna fix you up." he said, beginning to walk with Aculeus towards the tower. He knew the assault was far from over, but getting his ally back to safety was his top priority. "Leon! Think you can cover me?"

"Tch," Suzume growled, setting up spikes behind Isaac. "Hurry your ass up. I'll help cover you for one minute."

A demon that was coming closer to the tower was shot out of the air by Manda.

"Of course, i'm only getting started." Leon yelled back to Issac.

Aculeus regained consciousness in Isaac's arms. "Leave me," he said quietly, "Finish the demons first." He slipped back into unconsciousness to the sound of his father's voice.

Leon sensed another wave approaching. He raised his swords at pointed them straight at the demons, he released a beam of light and a beam of darkness through his swords ripping holes inthe ranks of the oncoming demon army.

Isaac dragged Aculeus with renewed vigor. It still took a couple minutes, but he got the boy inside. "Dammit..." he said quietly. Aculeus couldn't wait to receive medical attention. By now, most of the warriors were up on the roof, or in the windows. Assault rifle fire could be heard, and occasionally a spear or tomahawk would sail through the air, knocking something out of the sky.
A little girl's head popped up from behind a deck. "Amanda, would you go get the medicine, please?" he asked, ignoring Aculeus. She nodded, and jumped over the deck, starting to head upstairs.

Then a barb hit her. The little girl was flung across the room, stuck to the wall by a long, black spine that a demon had thrown. Her whole body went limp instantly. She was dead.
"No." Isaac whispered. Tears started streaming out of his eyes, and he stood up and turned around, marching directly into the middle of the legion of demons.
"YOU BASTARDS! COME HERE AND FIGHT ME!" he screamed. Hundreds and hundreds of demons swarmed him. He fought back like a maniac, twisting and flipping, whirling through the air, hacking and slashing, shooting icicles. Isaac was a blizzard of blood and death. With every kill, the blizzard got larger, until it actually started snowing.
Isaac never stopped though. He screamed and laughed and danced among the demons. After about thirty seconds, Isaac's blizzard had obscured most of the legion, and almost a minute passed before it faded. Isaac was standing in the middle of a circle of at least fifty corpses, and the rest of the legion was knocked down, though they were getting up rapidly. His shirt had been torn off, exposing his gruesome wounds from the day previous, as well as several new cuts. A barb identical to the one that had killed Amanda was stuck through his shoulder, one eye had a cut over it, his lip was split, the other arm was plainly dislocated, and he was covered in blood. The legion had literally hesitated after getting back up, staring at him with fear. Isaac looked up at the sky, his mouth moving in what looked like, "I'm sorry.", and he hit the ground. All Isaac could remember as he started slipping into unconsciousness was that it felt cold...


OOC: Just for the record, he walked quite a ways away from everyone, and he'll be KOed for a day or two at least.

Leon could sense Issac fighting within the building, he ran toward the building but a greater demon stepped between him and the building. "Out of my way." Leon said. The demon growled in response to Leon's statement. Leon charged the Demon head on while swinging another darkness slash. The Demon's stomach was split open and Leon jumped in to the Demon's stomach and started ripping him apart from the inside out. He slashed his way up until he found the Demon's heart, he reached out and crushed it's heart with one hand ultimately killing the Demon.

Leon ran to the building calling out to Sparrow "Keep everyting under control and yell if you need help." He ran up the stairs of the tower to reach Issac as quickly as possible. As he ran in he sensed Issac on the ground passed out. He ran over and yelled "Issac are you alright?"

"Easy," Suzume muttered, as more spears shot out at demons. Aiming to impale them before getting too close. One got too close, and face planted into a metal wall that went right in front of it before it ensnared it.

The snow was starting to pick up. Sam get slowly to her feet, zipping her jacket up around tighter. "He needs help." she said in a small voice, slowly walking towards Isaac, firing upon the demons that were trying to advance upon him. She kept her distance, however, merely trying to keep the demons off of Isaac.

"I can't be everywhere at once, girl," Suzume hissed as she was struck by a demon's claw. It managed a small scratch through her armour that she materalized. However, that attack didn't go unrewarded as the demon soon fell dead to a metal spire through its stomach.

Leon stood and started slashing demons like a mad man.

Sam focused on the area around Isaac. A small stone shell popped out of the ground, covering Isaac, protecting him from the smaller demons.

OOC: Would the fight be over soon?"

Suzume was beggining to tire out from all the demons...Would they ever end?

As Leon killed a demon he sensed the others retreating for the time being. When all of the demons had left the city Leon walked to where Sam was and asked "Are you alright?"

"Finally," Suzume muttered to herself, armour receeding as she folded her arms and looked back. "Again, this place is unsuited for defences..."

Xone, running out of ammo, grabbed his staff, and threw it at a retreating demon, then, running after the fleeing army, pulled out his knife, and slashed at a couple of nearby demons. "This isn't working," he sadi, when he saw Fang run by. Power suddenly coursed through him, as fur and muscle broke through his shirt, and his face elongated into a snout. He grew fierce fangs as his jaw strengthened, and sharp claws. He ran into the army, jumping and slashing and snapping at anything that came too close. A demon growled at him, and he growled right back, scaring the demon. He then slashed the demon to ribbons. Fang fought along side him, his strength increasing tenfold from the power of his master.

Neveah saw the cloud of demons, and shot a beam of darkness into the retreating mass, before pulling out her commando. She suddenly saw what looked like a were-wolf (possibly were-wolf demon) ripping through the horde, along side a dog. That explained the bite marks, but it still begged the question who- or what-it was. All she knew was it seemed to be on their side, so she left it alone.
