Chaos Theorem - Page 2 Empty Re: Chaos Theorem

Post by Dobi Boshi Sun Jul 22, 2012 5:28 pm

At the moment I'm leaning towards Ranger (Rouge/Archer sort of class), Paladin and Druids.

Meanwhile the Dwarfs will have Runesmirh (Warlock), Pledgeshield (Warrior) and an Engineer (Exactly what it says on the tin), whilst Mankind will have the Demon Hunter (Rouge with Shadow magic and access to Hammer Space - it'll make sense later), the Sorcerer (Magic user , duh) and Barbarian (Warriors of the highest caliber).

I'm thinking the Lizardmen, if included might have a Witch Doctor sort of class (Power of Voodoo!) and a Slayer (warrior) class - really not sure what to give them as a third class...

Mmmm, Paladin as in the healer/warrior type?

If so...you just made this a whole lot harder! D:

If you had something else in mind for a class, make your suggestion as Runesmith and Engineer were going to be one class originally and the Dwarfs would have the Paladin. So make you class suggestion and if it's a good one I might revert back to that idea, I'm open to change if it's good/makes sense.

Are there only those three classes for each species?

For the time being yes, I may introduce forth classes for all the races further down the line, but for now to keep things manageable and lessen my work load, I've decided that each race will only have three classes to being with.

All right. Another thing - what do you mean by 'rouge'? This might just be culture difference, but do you mean 'rogue'? (which is kind of like a thief/vagrant type figure) I think rouge is something used in make-up. ._____.

Well, yeah. That, and are all elves either a High Elf or a Dark Elf, or are there just normal elves? What makes them a High/Dark elf, strengths/weaknesses of each; plus the reputation of each in the eyes of the other races/within the elves? Uh, basically everything? >.>

Really depends on the lore, but in general, Dark Elves are elves that have turned to black magic and are shunned by other elves. While High Elves are nobly born elves that are higher up, stuck up, in general.

I believe. xD

Nope, the classes are just to help outline what a character can and can't do. The main objective behind it all is to help reduce people pulling shit out of their asses and put a stop to god-modding; as it'll be easy to just look up the class specks and see whether or not a character should be able to do what they're doing if try and pull something iffy.

Chaos Theorem - Page 2 Empty Re: Chaos Theorem

Post by Dobi Boshi Sun Jul 29, 2012 7:10 pm

That's really the question, ain't it? Right here's the deal - I go on holiday for two weeks a week on Tuesday, so I'd be away from the 7th til about the 23rd of August, and given how little time is between now and going away, and that my priority as far as RPs go is SHOT in the Back, I've put this on the back burner.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still working on the class information and I'll make sure to get the character sheets all done and the OoC thread made before I go away, so that you guys are all free to read over the info and make and post your characters whilst I'm away on holiday and then when I come back it's simply a case of looking over everything before starting off the RP when I'm done checking over all the characters.

Sorry if you want to get started soon, I just thought there wasn't much point getting only to disappear a week or so after starting the whole thing and letting it die when no one knows where I went. Sorry again. :/

I said it in the post, but I'll say it again here: the OoC thread is up, but please keep all questions/thoughts/feedback in here for the time being. I'm asking you all to do this so that the important information everyone will need to know before starting is all together right at the start of the thread so people who join midway don't need to go digging to find certain pieces of information. I'll give you all heads up when it's clear to start posting in the OoC thread proper.

Since this is will be a Blossoming/Tree RP, posts will be relatively slow but detailed, right? If so, I'll probably join in since I'm a sucker for these kind of things, but can't keep up with the fast-paced posts of less detailed RPs.
