The Plague

Izekiel ran. He was afraid to stop running. The foot steps behind him were getting louder, catching up to him. Some of them could still run, even as fast as he could. Maybe if he didn't have the pack on his back he could make it, but he wouldn't leave it, it had his whole life in it. Closer and closer. Finally realizing he couldn't outrun it, Izekiel turned to face his pursuer, the fire axe in his hand feeling slick from his own sweat. "Come on you bloody bastard!" he yelled at the thing. That's what it was now, not human any more. The flesh may still be attached, not exposing any bones, but sometimes that made it harder to kill them.

The thing lunged at him, and with an almighty swing Izekiel caught it in the head with the blade of the axe. The Eater collapsed at his feet, the stink of death only made worse. "Gotcha you sonofabitch," Izekiel panted as he bent over the body, hands on his knees trying to catch his breath. More screaming came from the place he had just ran and he could already make out the shapes of others coming towards him, illuminated by the raging fire of a dying city. More Eaters. Just how many are following me? he thought to himself as he tried to pull the axe out of the eater's skull. To his horror he found it was jammed there, and he probably wouldn't be able to get it out before the other eaters got to him. At least he still his bow and a few arrows left.

With one final look of longing at the axe, Izekiel turned and ran again, running on the adrenaline from his last encounter. It didn't look like there were anymore that could run in the group that was following him, but that didn't make him feel any better. They were relentless, tireless. The flames of the burning city raged behind him, pushing every thing, living and unliving, out in front of it. How many other survivors were there? How many of them were being chased by eaters? There was no time to stop, no time to think. Izekiel ran.

So yeah, Zombie survival RP due to the fact that I just read a zombie book and recently started watching The Walkng Dead. The Eaters are deadlier the fresher they are. The freshest being able to run. Some of them can even pick up pieces of wood and such to use as crude weapons. The diesease is spread through blood or consumption of tainted food and water. The RP will start in Oregon, near Portland. Other details can be worked out later once/if this little Idea of mine gets rolling.
