[Chiasma]

Light. The dreamlike scenario--the phantasm encounter with the three apparitions blurred into an infinity of forever light, the impeccable hall of white marble, the intricately-detailed columns and even the other individuals present meshed into a canvas painted the purest white, spanning the entirety of one could discern... just to be clouded immediately by a deep, unforgiving void. Darkness.

Seneste Forest. Trees of various species and sizes partly blocked the faint light the sun managed to cast on the area, as a dense spread of clouds laid lazily in the morning sky of Lienaell, one of the two better-known continents of Phantasia, the other one being the vastly populated continent of Dharmastia. A gentle breeze caressed the dew-soaked blades of grass, and the strangers laid rather awkwardly on it. Unconsciousness was slowly but steadily replaced by a semblance of awareness as they appeared to stir awake...


((OoC: Generic introduction post. We shall open up the Roleplay with a regular Roleplaying scene. If you still do not know what is happening, then I will tell you that your characters (Lissa, Alice and Jet) are "waking up" from the "dream", which was the tutorial battle, if I did not happen to hint it strongly enough.))

Jet yawned as he got up, stretching, before looking around, confused to as where he was. "What the..."

It was wet and cold, Alice noted abysmally. She hesitantly cracked open a blue eye, looking at the blades of grass and trees that surrounded her. She must be in a forest. Next, she noted the peculiar way she had been sleeping. The blonde had curled up in a ball, hugging her banjo! How embarrassing.

She moved to push herself off the ground, finally noticing she was not alone. Pausing for a moment before quickly jumping to her feet and clutching her banjo by its neck to be used as a club, she then dropped her hostile stance rather quickly. She had known these people: they'd been in her dream. Did that mean she was still dreaming?

"You two..." Jet said, recognising the two girls from his dream. "...Am I still dreaming?"

Lissa heard commotion around her. Commotion, and confusion. She felt slightly wet, from being sprawled out on the grass that had been drizzled with dew. It was a most uncomfortable surface. Finally, Lissa decided to open her eyes. She sat up slowly, blood rushing throughout her body. Aaaagh... Where am I? she thought to herself. In all honesty, she could not remember where she was, nor how she had come to find herself in this place.

Surveying her surroundings, she made note that she seemed to be in the clearing of some sort of forest. The sun was blocked out by a canopy of trees, making it nigh-impossible to discern the time of day. She had really overslept, regardless of where she was. She saw two figures with her, as well, and while the images of her dream were fading from her mind's eye, Lissa knew she had seen this boy and this girl before... in the realm of her subconscious.

The boy seemed to be having a similar response, though the girl seemed mildly apprehensive of contact, having raised her banjo in a menacing way. Lissa shuddered, recalling the playing that she and the boy were subjected to during the fight with the three ghosts. She chuckled, and said, "You two do look rather familiar... Perhaps we have been forced together by fate's hand." She smiled, though she still struggled with remembering just how it was she had gotten to this forest. Nonetheless, she tried the pleasant approach, having not caught any name's in the dream world.

"My name's Lissa Diomke. Pleased to meet you... on this side of reality." She said, with a charming grin and a chuckle.

"...Jet Michaels." Jet said, a little taken aack by the girl's approach to this situation.

Alice stared suspiciously at the two for a moment, wondering if it was safe to give possible illusions her name. They could use it to suck out her soul! "Alice Benevo..." she grunted reluctantly after a bit, still clutching her banjo like a child would a security blanket.

Jet nodded to Alice, noting how scared she looked. "So...what now? We obvously can't stay here."

[The Kakuzato]

Out in the forest, a young young girl was walking around the forest, looking closely. at the ground. Picking up an interesting-looking mushroom, flower, or other sorts of plants., she moved along at a rather leisurely pace, inspecting any types of plants she was not familiar with with her rather specialized form of magic. This usually meant the girl placing the plant in her hand, then staring at it as a non-magic user might, while her mind's eye inspected every fiber of the plant, causing it to give off a slight glow when some of her energy escaped out of a raised portion of anything.

the girl was rather short, even shorter than a normal girl her age. Everything she wore was green, from a cloth dress to her wide-brimmed hat. Even her naturally white hair seemed to have a slight green tint to it! She carried a small pack upon her back, under which one would see the occasional leaf or stem or even flower. The dark forest green pack had several pockets which were organized to the whims of the girl, in a way that hardly anyone would understand. To an outside observer, the girl would appear quite naive and unobservant to things around her, leaving her vulnerable. For the most part, they would be right too.

Off in the distance, the girl saw a plant that she had never seen before in her life. Several of them, rather far apart, though still close enough together to be considered a patch, sat in a spot where the trees parted. Walking up to one of them, she inspected it closely, recognizing it from somewhere, even though she did not remember seeing any in the gardens of anywhere she visited. In fact, the plant seemed to be from some sort of book. Not able to remember anything more, she put two leather gloves upon her hands, thinking that she may discovered ome sort of legendary herb or another.

As she put her hand around the base of the stem, she noticed that the leaves were rather sharp. In fact, the mouth have been able to sting someone moving fast enough. She wanted to pick at least one entire plant so she could figure out how to use it later. Vetting down on one knee, the girl began to pull. At first, the plant offered an overwhelming resistance. In fact, the girl thought that she was going to have to just leave the root, for she didn't want to waste too much energy on one plant alone. However, after a couple seconds, the plant almost seemed to not only lose all hold upon the earth, but seemingly with a shake, and the girl thought she had heard a strange, low grown, it almost seemed to life itself off of the ground! excited, the girl began to pull up even harder.

A scream pealed through the forest as the girl ran away from the clearing with the strange plants. As she was picking one, the raised up by their own will, revealing their human-shaped roots and starting to walk as any man was able to. The girl wasted no time running away from them. She probably should have magically inspected the plant before she started to pick it, but that time was passed.

Giving another scream that rang through the forest with her high-pitched voice, she ran through the trees. She would not be able to defend against these monster plants, so she hoped that she could hide somehwere or even, somehow, in this large jungle, find someone to help her. She gave off one mode scream, hoping that someone, somewhere, might be able to hear her. That someone else was in the jungle nearby.

The corners of Alice's mouth twitched into a frown at the boy's- Jeff, was it?- statement. She was perfectly content just staying here. As she was about to open her mouth to ask why they couldn't stay here, a scream rang through the forest. She stood in shock as two more high pitched screams rang through the forest, her mouth gaping open. Were there some sort of horrible monsters in here? That wouldn't be good...

Her gaze flickered back to the boy- Jeff, that might've been his name- wondering for a moment if he was skilled in predicting the future, or perhaps if he'd even had participated in throwing them all into the middle of some evil plot. How could he know that this forest was a bad place before anything bad or even remotely unsettling had happened? This Jeff person certainly was a suspicious character, but from what she remembered from the dream fight, he was reasonably strong, and could probably overpower her if she simply raised her word against his.

Alice could only come to one conclusion: Jeff was holding her and possibly the other girl- Litha?- hostage in some sort of evil plot.

Jet froze when he heard the scream. During his days as an apprentice Magic Knight, he had been partially taught in the ways of chivalry, and was always told to help those in need.

Jet quickly turned, and ran in the direction of the scream. "If either of you two want to help, then come on!"

[Eebit]

Paralyzed by the sudden high-pitched scream penetrating the awkward calm that had been brought by Lissa asking the names of her dream-companions, she had immediately taken a hostile fighter's stance with snaring staff in hand. The pitchfork was slightly rusted, but the weapon's condition was truly the least of her worries right now.

"If either of you two want to help, then come on!"

The boy, Jet, had spoken. He was clearly led by a strong sense of justice, which would make him an invaluable companion in the future... but for now, it was time to focus on the source of the screaming. It's gotta be a girl... Lissa thought to herself, preparing to run. The girl, Alice, seemed afraid to make any sort of move; rooted to the spot as though she had been seen by some sort of predator. "Let's go, then. Alice, do accompany us, won't you?" Lissa said, passingly, as she spun on her heel and bolted through the trees, heading in the direction of the shrill sound.

Come out, girlie... We're coming to help.

Alice blinked, having been brought out of her paranoid trance. "Ah...yes," she muttered, although she was a bit unsure of what to do. If she was alone, she'd be left at the mercy of the woodland creatures, but if she went with them, she'd be at the mercy of Jeff and possibly Litha. Perhaps Litha would turn out to be on her side after all, and together they could defeat Jeff.

Jet ran towards where the screaming had come from, not bothering to see if the two were following.

The dream made it clear that they could hold their own, so he focused on the person who was currently in trouble.

[Chiasma]

With a scream piercing the otherwise silent forest, the group sprinted towards the general direction, hoping to find the source soon enough, for they were completely uncertain about the flora and fauna of this location. Dense arrangements of robust trees blurred by, the sound of shifting leaves and stepped grass combined with the occasional chirping of the birds above formed a rough chorus that spoke of nature. Finally, the group gradually slowed to a definite halt as they arrived to a clearing. The canopy of trees scattered into circular area where the morning light fell and the visibility vastly improved, revealing a woman with green attires in the near distance. She appeared to have fallen--tripped on a simple root protruding from the grass-covered earth, with... beings surrounding her. Their petite humanoid bodies were brown, covered in dirt from being underground, this was the root of the Mandragora. Yellow eyes glimmered in the shade that was cast by the plant growing on the top of their heads, bladed leaves dancing at the rhythm of the soft wind. Although not the most ferocious or dangerous of fantastic monsters which resided in Phantasia, or Seneste Forest for the matter, their intent on harming on the Herbalist was made clear.

Would they help her?

Alice ran into the clearing, only to see a small...person surrounded by odd looking roots. They looked a bit tasty, but they were probably poisoned. Oh well, it seemed the only choice left was to attack.

Jet starts at H5.

Jet ran into the clearing, to find young girl surrounded by plant creatures. Not hesitating a second, he drew his blade, intent on saving her.

Entering the clearing with her newfound companions, Lissa noticed the small girl who had been screaming so loud. It seemed that she was being antagonized by the monstrous plants surrounding her, so she had every right to be frightened... Heh... A girl of this age getting into such a situation... Lissa thought to herself. They just keep getting younger, these 'adventurers...'

Pitchfork already in hand, she brandished it in a vicious arc, standing well away from her allies, and glaring menacingly at the nearest plant. "Guess we're looking at another fight then, no?" Lissa said, confidence clearly in her voice. It was time to see how she and her companions stood up in a real battle...

Warming herself up, Lissa stretched her neck with a menacing smile on her face. She found that she was much more confident in battle after that dream... something that would certainly give her the upper hand in this battle. She hoped she hadn't forgotten the techniques she had used in the dream...

Dashing to the closest Mandragora, she found herself towering over the ugly plant. It was time to put her skills in battle to their first real test. "Good ol' spirits..." she spoke, monotonously and to herself as spirit matter began to cling to her pitchfork, forming the blade that she had wielded so often in the dream. She slashed downwards, leaving a powerful gash in the Mandragora. "Why fight? It's not like this girl was going to cook you up or anything..." she looked over at the seemingly innocent girl to her right, and, speaking to her, she added, "Right?"

The girl, Naina crawled up from where she had fallen, eventually standing to her full, albeit still meager, height. She looked back behind her, seeing the three people who had come to her aid. With tears of joys in her eyes, she looked around the area, finding that there was nowhere she could safely hide. With a little whimper, she backed her way until she was right next to the boy in armor.

""Why fight? It's not like this girl was going to cook you up or anything... Right?" the thin girl behind her asked.

Looking at the girl with teary eyes, which were caused by both fear and gratefulness, as well as now guilt. "Well..." Naina started, unsure of how she wanted to tell the girl of her own intentions, "I was planning on using them for one of my mixtures. I didn't know they could move though!" With this, Naina put her hands against her face and gave a hiccuping sob. Between the strange plant creatures attacking her and her guilt for causing this whole mess, she could not help but do anything else for now.

Jet moves to D6 (E5-E6-D6), then waits.

Jet immediately moved himself in between the child, and two of the monsters, before noting how she began to cry. "...Don't worry, young miss, we're going to get you out of this, just leave them to us." He said, raising his blade into a battle stance.
