"I got your first present!" Paul called up to her. In his hands was a beautifully carved staff. On the end of it was what one could describe as a perfect diamond. "Hand made just for you."

Adeline sighed. "...Maybe you'll be solid in my barrier," she muttered.

Joey stood beside her, a hand on her shoulder, trying to keep her calm.

Sage looked down at Paul, blinking. "...I thought...I said I didn't want anything..."

OOC: Now I gotta run, work. .-.

"I s'pose that's good," Luke replied, trying to be optimistic. The nightmares were, if anything, worse than ever since Nathan re-entered his life.

"Well at first I could keep him at bay, but someone I thought was my friend put him in control of my head. I remained like that for five years before I regained control. Then Nathan used his mental powers and helped me get rid of him."

"Well too bad, you get a new staff," Paul grinned.

"What barrier?" Kaylee asked in amazement. "I know Percy can make me solid..."

"Just give things time, I'm sure you'll get better," Kira smiled. It was hard to stay optimistic when Luke didn't even sound like he believed himself.

Adeline frowned. "...Never mind," she said, stuffing the watch back in her pocket.

"Wait, tell me pleaaaaaase~" Kaylee armflailed, "I wanna know~"

"Thanks Kira," Luke smiled back. He was thinking maybe he could do with a long walk or something, instead of lazing around the forest all day.

"...I can create a barrier where spirits can be solid," Adeline explained. "But there's a couple of problems with it..."

Kira nodded, before her eyes flickered nervously around the forest. "I h-have to go try and make everything less dry... There hasn't been rain for over a month..." she mumbled, moving towards the treehouse.

"What are they?" Kaylee asked.

"First... The living can't go through my barrier. They have to die first," Adeline muttered, stuffing her hands in her pockets. "Second... It gains power by absorbing 'foreign' spirits."

"Oh..." Kaylee said, "Um...well I'm not sure if I'm alive or dead...or a foreign spirit."

"Mmkay..." Elena mumbled, drifting back into sleep.
