Aculeus never heard anything past the giggle because he had already fallen into the mental bliss we call sleep.

Re: Nightfall, Children of the Elements
Kari yawned, making his way up to the roof. "...This is nice," he said, looking over the edge and ignoring the cold air.
Re: Nightfall, Children of the Elements
The storm worsened as night drew closer. By the time night had fallen, the storm had become even worse yet, howling loudly through the tower and thickening the air with so much snow that it was nearly impossible to see. Anyone who would venture outside would either get lost or be frozen to death.
As dawn came, the blizzard calmed to a light snow. The sun shined through gaps in the grey clouds, and there was a light breeze. Snow drifts piled up the sides of the tower, the tallest being almost six feet high, and large piles of snow were on most building's roofs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sam crawled out of her hammock, yawning and rubbing her eyes. Aculeus was still asleep, so she tiptoed out of the room, quietly closing the door behind her. She wandered idly through the halls for a while, finding herself in the lobby. She took a seat on top of a table that was in the corner and that hadn't been used for the barricade. She sighed and stared out the windows, watching the snow.

Josephine was curled up on a makeshift bed, or a pile of blankets, still asleep. The storm hadn't really seemed to faze her.

Aculeus woke up, he didn't really want to though. You really can't not wake up though when you fall out of a hammock. Aculeus picked himself up off the floor and grabbed a few peaches before walking out of the room. He went exploring around the tower for a few minutes. After finding nothing interesting, he decided to see what last night's storm had done to the city. Aculeus started going up stairs to the roof.

Kari made his way downstairs, trying to tie his nest of hair back into a braid. When he finally managed to do it, he made his way down to the lobby, looking for someone who could probably help him find who he was looking for.
Ray was curled up on her bed, sleeping. Her room was nice and warm, although it did smell like something was burning near the window.

Suzume was up before Manda was, and was currently changing out of her blood stained clothes, dealing with demons close up was messy.

Manda was still buried deep within her sleeping bag on top of her matress.

When Suzume was done changing, she came back into the room, and chuckled and smiled at Manda still asleep.

Aculeus had to stop and rest every 2 or so flights of stairs. His leg was still very sore and it hurt to breathe from the bruise and cuts from yesterday. When Aculeus finally got to the top he found a door that was blocked by snow. After several minutes of pushing he walked out onto a snow covered roof.

Re: Nightfall, Children of the Elements
Manda mumbled something about sea monkeys in her sleep, before her eyes fluttered open and the girl yawned.

For the first time in a while, Suzume smiled and laughed at Manda.

Danny prowled the tower boredly, not really having anything to do.

Manda looked around dumbly for a moment before she found the source of the laugh. "Um, mornin' Sparrow ma'am."

Sam turned her head to the sound of approaching footsteps. A young boy rounded the corner and Sam stared at him blankly for a moment.
"Morning," she said. Getting up and stretching, Sam walked over to him. "I haven't seen you around here before," she remarked idly, still staring at him.

Danny donned his mask and put his weapons under his coat. He pulled on a grey jumper underneath his coat, pulling on fingerless gloves and heading out of the tower and into the cold to get the lie of the land.

Manda rubbed her face before crawling out of her sleeping bag. "Burr, it's cold."

"Stormed last night." Suzume stated, glancing outside.

"Huh? Oh," Kari said, scratching his head. The little yellow canary flew out of his hair and landed on the table, watching Sam. "Yeah, I've only been here for a day."

"Really?" Manda got up and walked to the window, seeing nothing but white. "Your right... have you checked to see if we were snowed in?"

Re: Nightfall, Children of the Elements
"We aren't. I cleared the snow away while you were sleeping," Suzume said rather amusedly.
