Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 11

"I'm still not happy with their treatment of Sage." Nathan responded coolly to Joey. "I won't out right attack them but startling them until I feel justice has been done is fair game."

"Anyway, that's not why I'm here." The adult announced. "What happened whilst I was gone?"

"Go away..." Heidi sniffled, flinching at the touch.

"Erika was kidnapped by her cousin, I've been gone for the majority of the time, getting her back." Joey explained. "You'll have to ask Heidi and Neo for any other news."

"Heidi, tell me what's wrong." Simon said.

"I don't feel good, go away..." Heidi whimpered.

Nathan's blood ran cold and his entire posture stiffened. Cold dark eyes snapped up to face into Joey's and flow began to uncontrollably leak off of him.
"You..."

He almost seemed at a loss for words before his anger exploded. He threw one single punch into Joey's noes and then stood in front of his fellow adult shaking with anger. "What kind of a fucking husband are you?" He spat.

"Is she okay now?"

Joey caught the punch, with a calm expression. "The kind who would do anything to get her back." He said, letting go of the fist. "She's in a coma now, but she's ok, me and Eric have been making sure of that."

Nathan's forced himself to hold his flow. "A coma..." This time Joey wouldn't be able to block the punch as Nathan had used Super Speed to back it.

Searching out Erika's week flow he shot Joey one last scathing glare. "The only reason you're not dead is cause she loves you."

With that Nathan was no longer there. The fastest man alive was already half way towards Erika.

Joey was knocked back slightly by the punch, he slowly rose, getting up. "Predictable as ever."

I swear to God, everyone in this whole thing, is fucking annoying. And I mean everyone, including you Joey.

Erika was still where she was left, showing no signs of moving except for the beeping of the machines.

It didn't take Nathan long until he'd found Erika's flow. Stopping outside her house he forced himself to take a breath to calm himself down before entering.

Elena was still asleep as well, hugging Erika's arm. There were obvious tear streaks on her face.

"Then what can I do to make you feel better?" Simon asked. "Please, Heidi..."

"Tell Neo to stop being such an asshole and get me a bucket..." Heidi answered, looking a little green.

Nathan slowly made his way over his face contorted in disbelief and concern. She was just lying there. Slowly he moved his hand and gently moved a strand of hair out of her face.

"What did they do to you, Princess?" He asked quietly. "Of all the people why you?" Truth be told only three people being hurt would affect him like this. Sage had been with him and Kira had been with Luke and both of them were safe. Yet Erika... the one who'd been pregnant, the one who was married and had assured Nathan that Joey would always protect her had been the one who ended up in a coma.

Simon didn't know what to make of the first request but got a bucket for Heidi, holding her hair back.

Heidi promptly emptied the contents of her stomach into the bucket, rocking back and forth.

Simon rubbed circles into the woman's back, looking worried. "Did you eat something bad or overwork?"

"I don't know...I just feel like shit!" Heidi exclaimed, starting to cry again.

Simon continued to rub circles. "I-it'll be okay..."

Heidi seemed to decide she was done vomiting, curling up on the ground.

"You want me to get you to your bed?" Simon asked.

Heidi simply nodded quietly. She was done.

Simon helped Heidi to get her bed. I'll tell her about Nathan later...

Eric was walking towards Erika's house, noticing Joey. "...What the fuck?"

"Oh hey, a self-righteous asshole just showed up." Joey said, turning to Eric.
