The Haunted House on the Hill

"A lot's happened Angel..." Joseph said, squatting down to look her in the eyes. "I've hardly had a break to discuss my own feelings."

She looked into his honest eyes, and finally threw her arms around his neck as she sobbed into his shoulder and kissed his cheek. He was coming back to her. Maybe she could fight now.

Quil groaned. "You know what, enough with your bullshit! Get yourself killed if you want to so bad, but I'm not going to form a suicide pact with any of you!" she hissed, fed up, before marching off to the safe room.

Joseph gave a small smile as he hugged her back, glad that she was at least a little better now.

"Um...sorry to interrupt, but we should head back to the safe-house." Leo said.

"Sounds fucking good to me." Anthony deadpanned.

Joseph nodded, picking Angel up, to carry her back.

"Follow me." Leo said.

Angel nodded quietly and wiped her eyes, not objecting to being carried this time.

Joseph sighed in relief as they reached the safe house, before heading over, and laying Angel down on a bed.

She curled up in a ball and quickly fell asleep. She had worn herself out.

Elizabeth gave the sleeping girl a glare. "She's a danger to us all."

Bryant was still in shock due to Aria's death. That guy...

"Liz!" Joseph said, slightly angry.

"As much as I hate to say it, Liz is right," Quil agreed.

Denny frowned. "Cut her some slack...she just needs to rest up, I think," he said, trying to stick up for his longtime friend.

"Even if she was, what would you suggest we do?" Joseph said, glaring at the girls.

"Ditch her. Kill her. Duct tape her in a closet." Liz shrugged. "Her breakdowns are going to get us killed."

Denny frowned. "Liz, she's our friend. We can't just abandon her."

"Are you insane!" Joseph said. "Like Hell I'd let you do that!"

"Liz..." Johanna frowned, walking over to her friend. "Then we'd be no better than that guy who shot Aria..."

"She caused Aria to get shot. She provoked Ryuuzu into killing her. It's her fault Aria's dead." Liz frowned.

"It's nobody's fault. She didn't know he was going to shoot her. ...He might have done it anyway for all we know..." The girl persisted. "It's... it's not going to solve anything if you guys fall apart like this."

Joseph let out an exasperated sigh. "...I'm going to the restroom."

"She got him riled up in the first place." Liz said stubbornly.

Joseph sighed as he entered the restroom, just looking for some solitude.

He needed to figure out what they were going to do next...

"But she didn't mean to." Johanna calmly replied.

Joseph sighed, his head now clear, before exiting the bathroom. "Ok...I know what we need to do next."

"What?" Anthony asked, he was sitting in a nearby chair.
