"You sssssseem to be in a good mood," it said, coiling next to him as if a real snake.

Kaylee popped next to Adeline. "Woah, nasty bites you got there."

"Morning," Kira responded, a look of concern crossing her face. "Did you sleep okay?"

Joey just continued to hug her. "Erika...no matter what happens, we're here to help you." He said, continuing to try and comfort her.

It really upset him to see his wife like this, and was willing to do nearly anything to help her.

Adeline shrugged as she pulled out a roll of bandages. "It's nothing. Doesn't hurt a bit."

After a few minutes Erika's sobs calmed down in to infrequent hiccups. She looked up at her husband appearing miserable. "...I'll go see the doctor."

"Eh, not great, but I think it's getting better," Luke replied brightly. It wasn't.

"Not in a particularly good mood, just not in a bad one I s'pose," Tom replied, shrugging massive shoulders.

"I ssssssssee," the snake stated, "You are up early."

"Don't I know," Kaylee said, "being a ghost can be cool sometimes~"

"That's...good..." Kira answered, the frown remaining on her face. She obviously didn't believe him.

Joey nodded. "Kay...let's go." He said, not going to let her go alone, especially in her state. Although he did avery good job of hiding it, like always, he was really worried about her.

"...Just as I thought...it didn't return..." Sage mumbled to herself, pulling out of the bed she rested in. She went to look outside the window at the new day.

She sighed, leaning on the window to look out of it.

"Do I still sound bad at night?" Luke asked, wanting to believe that he was getting better.

"I don't sleep a lot," Tom replied. "Though I could say the same for you."

Simon rubbed his eyes and saw Erika and Joey heading out with the woman using Joey for support. "What's wrong...?"

Joey gave the boy a small smile to the boy. "Don't worry...we're just going to get Erika checked up on, that's all." He said, doing his best to explain.

Kira nodded slightly. "I-I'll have to try different plants..." she mumbled, wishing she could do something more to help Luke.

Elena was woken up by Simon, as she was curled up in his bed. "Wha's goin' on...?" she asked sleepily.

Adeline paused, before pulling out her pocket watch. "Hey, see if you can touch this."

"Asssssss a shadow I do not sleep," it said, "and our hossssst is naturally accustomed to night."

Paul decided that now would be a good time to give Sage her first gift, so he hopped down from the gate and made his way to her house.

Kaylee gave her a skeptical look. "Is that some sort of ghost item?"

Said girl was still at her house, albiet, changing into different clothes. Sage sighed again as she accidently touched something with her burned hand. "...Why did that fire hurt me...? It shouldn't have..."

"Erika is going to the doctor." Simon explained to Elena after the adults left.

Adeline shrugged, not really sure how to explain it.

"God dammit," Luke muttered. He hadn't been lying to Kira on purpose. He had been lying to himself.

"I'm used to little sleep since I had to deal with an intruder in my head up until a short while before you met us," Tom elaborated.

"Hey Sage!" Paul called up to her window.

"Huh..." Kaylee said, reaching out and touching it. "Wow! I can touch it!"

"Oh?" The serpent was now curious, "How did you deal with that?"

Joey began to help erika over to the doctor.

Kira placed a comforting hand on Luke's arm, smiling slightly at him. "It's okay, you're not screaming anymore. You've made progress."

Elena curled back up into a ball. "'Cuz Erika's vomiting?" she asked, keeping her eyes closed.

"Huh?" Sage looked out the window, then down at Paul. "...Yes?"

"Yeah." Simon replied, rubbing the sleepers out of his eyes.

Erika entered through the door way and waited for her appointment, feeling tired and grumpy. Maybe it's really bad cramps mixed with fever.
