The Overlord's Court

Zerez had said his thanks and had brought his head back in. He glanced at the poor excuse of a man and desperatly wanted to slit his throat. But, then he would be put onto the noose instead of him.

Magnus went back to reading reports, his hands shaking slightly. He thought of the morning gone past, wondering how what made that man think he had the right to rape the Princess. He had lived in a castle, and he was richer than any in the army, bar the generals and those above them. He never should have wanted for anything he couldn't have.

While he was thinking this, he couldn't help but feel angry at the Princess for interrupting his visit to his son's grave. That was meant to be a time for his own thoughts, and no matter how patriotic he tried to be, he couldn't help but feel it was the Crown's fault that they were at war and that his son was no longer with him.

That gaze... "Alright. I"ll tell you everything." Stella walked to the edge of the bed and sat down."For several years now, I've been making side deals with the noblity in Estern. I was the one Father trusted most, so he;d do anything I ask. If someone wanted something done, they came to me. They paid in secrets, for several reasons. I thought that I had plenty of jewels and horses and suitors, and the secrets could be of use later. I had them wrapped around my finger, and they thought they had the king wrapped around theirs.

"Father eventually found out about what I was doing, and soon thought he could use me as a tool for politics. He was losing popularity, and with the war, he thought he'd figure me in somehow. Eventually, he decided to use blackmail to keep him in office. So he sent me around to the nobles whose favor he had lost, and threatened to tell the courts their information, as most of it was illegal. They caved to my wishes, and Father stayed in office.

"Then came the surrender to you. Father thought he could use me again and get his kingdom back. So he sent me, even though my older sister was of age. So I needed to dig for him and then blackmail you into returning the parts of Estern you took." Stella almost started crying, afraid she was going to be executed for what she had been doing. She had heard this Overlord was a force to be reckoned with, and he could easily have her hung or have her head chopped off for what she had just told him. "I'm sorry." she said quietly as finally the tears fell into her lap, soaking into her dress.

The Overlord walked over, and sat down next to the princess, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Now now, Stella, there is no reason to cry." He said, adopting a sympathetic tone. "Nothing is going to happen to you."

"But... I tried to use you. I wanted to blackmail you." Stella said, not really understanding why he was being so sympathetic.

"I don't see a problem, as ong as you don't try it again..." The Overlord said, using his index finger to move her chin, so that she was now staring him in the eyes. "...I could use someone like you."

Stella looked into his eyes. "Like my father did?" she asked.

"Oh no...I have no need to blackmail my subjects." The Overlord said, his eyes staring hypnotically into hers, as he spoke. "You're a smart girl, and you seem to be quite resourceful..."

Stella was scared again. Those eyes were piercing into her. "What is it you want?"

"I wish for you to be my first consort." The Overlord whispered, his eyes staring directly into hers, hs face barely an inch away from her own.

"Like... your wife or something?" she asked, confused.

"Yes, like that...You see, an Overlord will take on multiple Consorts." The Overlord explained. "An Overlord's consort is one of the most powerful positions a young woman like yourself could take, your duties would be to serve and help me rule this nation, assist with diplomatic duties, siring my future children, and being a hundred percent loyal to me."

Stella thought for a moment on whether or not this would be the benefits to this. It was a powerful position. With diplomatic duties and assistance to ruling the nation. It was delicious. An offer she couldn't resist. "Done."

"Good..." The Overlord said. "But I should warn you...you will only have as much power as I deem so."

"Now...when would you like to have the ceremony?" The Overlord asked.

"When would you like it?" Stella asked sweetly.

"As soon as conveniently possible..." The Overlord said. "So I'd say...anywhere from a week, to a month from now."

"A week would be fine. The sooner the better." Stella smiled.

"Indeed..." The Overlord said, staring her in the eyes. "I look forward to it."

"I will as well." Stella said with a small smile, looking in those piercing eyes again. Why did they have to stare into her mind so much?!

The Overlors smiled, before leaning in towards the young woman.

Stella leaned in as well with an odd sense of deja vu until her lips met his.

Isaiahs's arms wrapped around the princess, as he pulled her into the kiss.

It was different from their first kiss. Longer. Deeper. Stella enjoyed it more, and let it continue until she needed to breath, at which point she pulled away. She blushed, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink and she had no idea what to say now.

The Overlord smiled, before standing up. "...I'll see you later tonight."

Lucrezia walked with the guard towards the door, the guard knocked while she waited.
