The Overlord's Court

"More useless than meaningless. Even your illustrious older brother started somewhere," Magnus countered, chuckling at the memory of when he'd first started the Overlord's training.

"I suppose." Lucrezia replied, she was still angry at herself for messing up again, and in front of a high official in the military no less! I will get it next time...

"Field Marshal is right, Lil' sis, you did great for your first try." Isaiah said, walking over to check on her. "I remember nearly killing both him, my Air instructor, as well as myself, when I first attempted Air." The Overlord said, remembering back to his training days.

Lucrezia looked over at her brother with an eyebrow raised.

"Sometimes, some questions are better left unasked." Kyruna mumbled under her breath, a little distance away.

"I used a little too much power, on the first attempt." Isaiah explained to his sister. "Blew us straight up into the air."

"You would do that." Lucrezia said with a giggle.

"I had it under control," Magnus grumbled at the memory. "That instructor tried to leave straight after you did that, you know. Said he was too old for it. Of course, he wasn't allowed to just walk away from your secret training camp by order from the Overlord, so I had to persuade him to stay."

"Persuade him?" Lucrezia asked lightly.

"Sometimes, some questions are better left unasked." Isaiah said.

Kyruna blinked at what the Overlord had said. Didn't I just...oh never mind...

"I see." Lucrezia answered.

"Glad to see you share my opinions, Milord," Magnus replied coolly, glad the Overlord had learned that lesson himself.

"Indeed." The Overlord said. "So what brings you here, Field Marshal."

"There's only so much reading you can do into the theory of water magic," the man replied. "And I wanted to see how my old pupil was coming along."

Lucrezia looked over at the water bucket. Maybe I could try that...

The Overlord smiled. "I'm doing well, Field Marshal."

"You've improved, anyway," the Field Marshal admitted.

"Thank you., sir." The Overlord said, glad to hear that.

"Not that that's hard," Magnus finished, enjoying trolling the Overlord.

The Overlord chuckled a little at that.

Lucrezia was now focusing on the water bucket, her fingers twitching.

Kyruna looked over at Lucrezia, interested in what she was doing.

What appeared was little drops rising from the bucket up into the air.

"Water?" Kyruna asked herself, wondering if she was using some Water magic...
