Nightfall, Children of the Elements Part 1

"Rebuild yes," Suzume said, before folding her arms. "But, would it be worth it? That's the question."

"Well... it depends on how long they've been here. If they aren't nomadic, then they might have ties to the place here." Manda replied.

"Even so, building up defences again takes time," Suzume said, trying to explain. "It's more of a matter of asking yourself, would it be worth staying here, possibly dying. Or would it benifit everyone to move on."

Isaac smiled at the girl. "It's fine. Come on in." he said, putting an arm around her shoulders. He beckoned to the rider. "You too, kid." he said, leading them both back inside. "Go make yourselves at home. By the way, I'm Isaac, and you are-"
Isaac was cut off by the sound of an exploding ice pillar. He jumped into action, flying down the stairs, a small blizzard swirling around him. "The fuck...?" he said. Manda, metal bitch, and some new guy were all standing around. He relaxed slightly, though the ice swirling around him remained. "Who are you?" he asked suspiciusly.

"Me?" Jason asked with a dull smile. "I'm your polar opposite in that respect." Shadows began to well up around him, forming a set of wings of his own. These however were a lot more demonic.

Hearing a new person arriving he raised an eyebrow. "The question is. Who are you?"

"He has wings like the angel-guy!" Manda pointed out to Suzume.

"Well, shit," Suzume muttered under her breath. "Stay back."

Danny was perched on the edge of a roof nearby, eyeing the two. With two aggressive guys like them, the situation could get interesting quickly. Worth sticking around for, anyway, and he wanted to see what the guy who'd called them was made of. He'd want to be strong enough for it be worth the elemental children'd while.

"Isaac. I sent out the broadcast." he said, then, watching the guy grow wings, he charged forward, both hands envoloped in ice lances. "Manda, go inside." he said calmly, taking a few steps forward. He had no clue who the guy was, but he was threatening his tribe, so he wasn't going to let him get any closer.

"Interesting." Jason responded with a raised eyebrow at the sudden realisation that he'd manipulated the darkness around him into wings.

"Beating their leader might help gain some respect... but I'll have to be careful not to do it to badly or else they might all jump in." He begun conversing with the voices.

Jus' fuckin' kill the prick an' take ova'. Useless as as always was Eyepatch.

You don't even necessarily have to beaten him... just match him and make it look like you have the upper hand. Spec's offered. To which Jason subconsciously nodded.

Yeah do what he said! Then we can still make friends!

With the decision made, Jason narrowed his gaze on Isaac. With a wave of his hand he used the invisible, highly condensed darkness to shatter the ice around the boys hands. To all but the very, very keen eyed it appeared as if he'd shattered them using only mental commands.

"W-wait!" Manda yelled shooting water into both Isaac and Jason's ears.

"...Not the smartest idea at this moment, Manda..." Suzume sighed, getting ready.

The cry alerted Jason to a new adversary and the darkness contained the water giving Jason only slight discomfort at the splash that went inside his ear.

"Dishonourable. First attacking someone who has made no move to attack anyone and then needing extra help." He let a smirk fall onto the only feature that could be seen beneath his hood. "Some leader you are."

Danny watched keenly. If the ice melted around the guy, the puddle would make it easy for Danny to electrocute him. The other guy didn't seem to have many weaknesses that Danny could exploit, but that could go both ways.

"Please stop dark-winged sir!" But Manda continued.

Jason turned his head towards the direction of the shout and saw... a girl. He hazarded a quick glance back at Isaac before glancing at her. She was around his own age.

Friend?

IDIOT! PAY ATTENTION!

He no longer made another move to attack, merely standing defensively.

Suzume picked Manda up. "Listen, that boy is possibly a demon!" she hissed, backing away. "Those wings..."

The sound of the pillar exploding scared Ray, causing weak flames to erupt around her feet. She cursed, stomped out the fire, and ran over to a window to watch what was happening.

"Put me down right now Sparrow ma'am!" Manda yelled, still looking at Jason.

"Listen to me, Manda!" Suzume said, backing up again. "If that is a demon, then we're getting out of here. If it's a human, then I'll put you down."

"Are you a human, dark-winged sir?" Manda asked point blank.

Jason sighed and with one swift movement removed his hood. Other than the power he was using he looked completely human. Unique due to the blue hair and the tattoo/marking on his eye. But completely human.

The masked boy had almost been hoping that he'd be a demon, since a single demon would be easy to take down with every around, but a human with darkness powers would be harder and it would likely be solo if push came to shove.

Manda's face brightened up as a huge smile appeared on her face. "You are! See, Sparrow ma'am! He's good!"

"Just because he's human doesn't make him good. Stay back just in case," Suzume warned, putting Manda down but never the less, kept herself in between Manda and Jason.
