Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer

"Basically... we're at war." Nathan said with a sigh. "The army we're against are going to attack us properly in a weak... and... I want you to leave the village and go with Heidi so that you're safe."

"Wait...what!?" Sage demanded, not sure at what part. Being at war, or having to leave! "How, who, what, when, what!?!?"

"Those people we fought, they're part of a bigger army." Nathan explained. "In one four hundred of their initial army are going to march through the forest and kill all of us unless we can find a way to fight them."

He glanced up at her with a guilty look. "Which is why I want you to leave with Heidi and Erika."

"Why!? Why does everyone want to fight!?" Sage asked as tears started to form. Everyone should be working together, for a better future...

"They want us dead..." Nathan said sadly, the tears making him feel even more guilty. "Just because we were part of the Acer Tournament."

"It's not fair...it's not fair..." Sage said quietly. Bowing her head so that Nathan wouldnt see those tears.

"I know..." Nathan whispered, moving closer to her and slowly bringing his arms around her. "Which is why I have to fight them... to make this stop."

"I...I dont want you to fight..." Sage said, although quietly, with tears starting to fall.

"I have to..." Nathan said with a sad sigh. He cupped a hand around Sage's chin so she could look at him. "I have the power to do something. The power to protect you, my son, my friends. It's because of this that I have to fight them."

"B-but...I-i dont want you to..." Sage said, her eyes starting to look back into the past, when Minerva died...

Nathan sensed the thought and looked Sage dead in the eyes. "I' not going to die on you, Sage. I promise that."

He gave her a sad smile before his eyes twinkled. "Even if I was going to... I can't anyway, thanks to my Instant Regeneration."

"But...what about everyone else..." Sage said weakly. Looking around at the Illuminati, and the other villagers.

"We have a plan that should give us more than enough chance." Nathan explained. His eyes remaining locked on her pupils.

"...Alright..." Sage mumbled quietly. "I'll go..."

"I couldn't live with you getting hurt..." Nathan said, trying to find a way to explain his reasoning.

OOC: ._. I wonder if it'll be the real Sage going, or Mirror, or both...hehehe.

Sage went back to looking at the ground. She hated feeling like this...Useless.

Nathan caught her thoughts again and frowned. He wasn't helping at all. "Besides, when it all comes down to it. We're going need someone to heal us and you won't be able to do that if you get hurt."

"Ok..." Sage said, sounding like a little girl who had gotten into trouble. She still looked at the ground however.

"I'm sorry..." Nathan whispered his hands slowly beginning to renounced their hold on Sage.

That would be when Sage wrapped her arms around him. "no-no one b-bet-better die..." she mumbled.

The newly healed Luke made his way over to the Illuminati, raising his voice so all the now homeless people could hear his voice.

"Is anyone hungry?" he asked loudly, dumping his firewood and lighting it with a gesture.

Paul did whatever it was he had to do. Because Poker is too lazy to explain things out. And it really isn't relevant to the plot. He just wants to get this moving again.

Amelia was doing her best to stay calm. She's passed off Lucas to Carly to look after, though she insisted the girl stay with earshot at all times should she need anything. She was helping to see to some of the injured that had made it out of the attack, trying to distract herself from the impending attack and Eithne's cold attitude towards her earlier was also troubling her. Did she do something wrong...?

Forcing back a sigh, she turned her head, looking at the small group gathered around her for treatment. "Who's next?"

OOC: I think Heidi was waiting for A response from Amelia. ._.

OoC: Wasn't sure what the situation was, can't remember if Suvi ever said Heidi found Amelia or was just looking for her, I'm just setting it up so if Suvi want's to talk, she can.
