Ascendency: a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon RP

Ukashka dropped back, looking over at Chara. "How did you find my room, anyway? It's not in the recruit wing..."

Chara shrugged. "I sniffed out the first fire type," she explained, "My tail can be kind of a pain and I don't think anybody would like to get burned."

They emerged into a room, where about half-way through a counter cut across all the way. A Dusknoir seemed to be in charge, and Ghosts and a few Pokemon of the Ralts and Abra lines also worked at the counters, disappearing either into the floor or into thin air if someone came up to them and asked them to get something.

"This is the Storage counter. Most of the vaults are deep underground, and that's why these Pokemon are picked. That and a good memory. This is where you deposit items, money, anything. It doesn't cost anything, the apprenticeship fees cover it, and when you're full members, donations will," Azel announced. "Any questions?"

"Hi guys," Melanie waved her tail in the group's direction, a stack of money at her feet.

Azel waved back, eyes scanning the area instinctively, counting how many creatures in the room, what were their weaknesses, what terrain advantages. He counted the money with a brief glance, slightly impressed with the team. He didn't really spend a lot of his money.

"One more stop," he called.

"I don't know if they'll let you stay there, though. They might want you to shuffle in with the other recruits," Ukashka shrugged. While she didn't want to be rude, she certainly didn't like the idea of sharing a room.

"Well if you want me to leave I'll leave," Chara shrugged back, "but I really don't care about the explosions if that's what you're worried about."

Ukashka grunted. "I don't care. I just don't want to get in trouble with the guild if I blow up one of the recruits."

Chara laughed. "I'm more tough than that," she boasted, "I used to live in the mountains!"

Ukashka shrugged, "Whatever you say."

Chara gave a toothy grin. "You're pretty cool."

Ukashka blinked, caught a bit off guard. Not many Pokémon around the guild told her she was cool. "Uh...thanks?"

"You're welcome," Chara replied with a nod.

Azel strolled back to the gate, waiting for everyone to arrive.

"Upstairs is the Guildmaster and the highest up in the guild, the people the Guildmaster looks to for counsel. You mostly get new teams' rooms on passages between places or different stories. As for me, my room is here," he pointed, indicating a room at the corner of the guild. It looked quite small and it had a standard wooden door with 'Azel' written on it. "That's where you go for help. Or I guess Venus or Dangan."

"My room is down the hall, that way." Venus said, pointing towards a nearby hallway.

"What, yuo two don't share a room?" Yuki asked in a direct tone.

Venus giggled a little at that.

"And I don't have a room." Dangan commented toward Azelf. His tone was still an aggressive one despite his attempts not to be.

"What? Of course not!" Azel replied to Yuki embarrassedly before turning to Dangan. "I'm sure the Guildmaster's finding you one now."

"I'm sure you could share a room with Team Sun," Allyss said to Dangan with a slight smirk, walking up to the group, "Hello recruits, what a lively batch we have this time around."

"That's boring." Yuki mumbled to herself.

"Don't even know why you'd think that," Azel muttered to himself before leaving it, and opening the gate out of the main building. "Shall we go back? There's dinner waiting."

"Yay, food!" Ukashka cheered.

"Oh the joys of being in an overcrowded room." Arashi grumbled.

Apollo's stomach growled at the mention of food. He let out a small chuckle in embarrassment.
