Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 5

"I'll go get him!" Sage said, ignoring the last part as she ran out of the house. She didn't know exactly where he was...and since the villagers wouldn't tell her...she was on her own.

"Hey, where're you going?" One curious villager called, seeing Sage running.

Sage stopped and looked at the villager. "Are...you talking to me...?" she asked, wondering if this was a trap...if there were others with rocks or sticks around.

"Your life?" Heidi demanded. "What's that worth? Nothing!" She stabbed at him again. If anything, she could knock him into the river and drown him.

"Yeah." The villager said, confused by how she reacted. "Is something wrong?"

"Heidi, you are stuck in your own delusion, that somehow, everything in the world is my fault, and that if you killed me, everything would get better." Joey said, dodging the stab again, now standing away from the river, from Heidi's position.

Heidi scowled. "You have no idea how wrong you are," she hissed, the glow surrounding her becoming brighter as she started freezing Joey's blood.

"You're...never mind...where's Joey!?" she asked, still keeping an eye out for anyone who might throw something at her.

Joey sighed, before the ground below Heidi collapsed into a large hole. "It's about time you took a time out."

"He and Heidi headed that way, towards the river." The person said pointing in a direction. "Why, do you need him for something?"

"Yes...thank you..." Sage said before running off towards the river. Something landed where she once was...a stick.

Unfortunately for Joey, being in the ground didn't stop her Flow. Heidi closed her eyes in focus, feeling the blood in Joey's arms and legs continuing to freeze.

And that's when the wall in front of her punched her in the face.

"JOEY!" Sage called out, looking around near the river.

Joey turned when he heard Sage's voice. "Sage?" He called back.

"Need...Help...House...My..." Sage called out again.

Joey nodded, before running over, making a surrogate ladder for Heidi to use, once she got up.

He had more important things to do, then deal with her.

Heidi's focus wavered, though, like her spear, the blood she had frozen in Joey's arms and legs remained frozen. She hit the other wall, blood coming from her nose, before she used her Flow to stop it.

Joey was currently moving, his blood now pumping, causing the blood to slowly unfreeze. While he could still move, it was slowing him down.

"Sage, mind helping with this, first?"

"I...don't have my staff..." Sage mumbled.

OOC: Gotta jet for a bit. Later.

Joey mentally cursed. "Kay, I'll try to keep up." He said.

OOC: Wrong, Book, by frozen, I don't mean flexible. Her spear doesn't bend when it gets warm, that's exactly what she did to Joey's blood.

OOC: Suvi, she fell down the hole as she was doing this. His arms and legs aren't completely frozen, only partially.

She had already done it before she fell in the hole. Sorry, Book, Joey can't win every fight.

Joey sighed to Sage. "Can you get her to unfreeze me, it's hard to move like this."

And that's when he got an idea. "Wait..." He then began using his flow on the frozen Flow, using it to get the flow moving again. He smiled before beginning to move more. His Flow moving the solidified blood started to cause it to un-solidify. In the meantime, he began to move using his flow to move his arms and legs.

Heidi was still sitting in the bottom of the hole, breathing heavily. She kept up a bright glow around her, bent on keeping Joey's limbs frozen until they burst from blood trying to get through the blockade.

Joey continued moving, using his Flow, until he was out of Heidi's reach, where she could no longer impede his process.
