Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 8

Kira smiled slightly, continuing to unbandage his leg.

Luke hid his winces quite well, waiting for Kira finish eagerly.

"This is going to sting a bit..." Kira cautioned, as a vine handed her a wet rag, which she used to clean the wound a bit, before bandaging Luke's leg back up again. "See? That wasn't too bad..."

It did sting a bit, but Luke kept his controlled face on.

"Yeah, not as bad as I thought," Luke replied.

Kira smiled happily, setting the cloth aside to be washed later, before starting to eat. "So what happened last night? I don't really remember much of anything..." she admitted, laughing a bit nervously.

"Not sure I could go through everything myself," Luke laughed, thinking. No, he wasn't going to rat Nathan. Despite the fact Luke had hated him, Nathan had helped him out, and Luke wasn't going to let that go unanswered.

Kira laughed as well. "Do you have any idea how we ended up like we did?" she asked, her face turning a bit pink, before her eyes widened. "N-Not that I'm complaining, because i-it was a pl-pleasant surprise- I mean...I...I..." The longer she talked, the redder her face got.

"Well you couldn't make a vine up into the treehouse, and you got a bit distressed and started saying you weren't a person," at this, Luke trailed off for a second, his face going a bit red. "And I said you were the most amazing person I've ever met, and you pulled me down there..."

Kira blushed deeper at this, pulling on her hair. "S-Sorry for making you sleep outside..." she mumbled, though it made her happy to know that Luke thought she was amazing.

"I think you might had dropped it downstairs when you fell of the couch," paul blinked, having not remembered picking one up.

Heidi nodded. "Thanks, I'm gonna go check on Simon and Benji," she smiled, heading towards the door, before pausing. "Um, what does this make us?" she asked, swallowing back the pink from her cheeks.

"Whatever you think it makes us," Paul shrugged, "I'll leave it up to you."

Heidi frowned slightly. "You have feelings too, y'know," she chuckled. "How about we both think about it for a bit."

"Alright," Paul nodded.

Heidi walked out of the house, looking down at her stomach nervously as she made her way to Erika's. She wasn't sure how Paul could be certain that she wasn't pregnant. Looking back, she realized he could have just told her that so she didn't get more scared.

The blonde let out a sigh. She'd just have to trust him.

"It's no problem, it wasn't a bad night," Luke replied, blushing as well.

Kira found herself smiling as she blushed. Luke made her very happy. She reached over, grabbing his hand despite not being able to look him in the eye.

Paul shook, his head, trying to clear his thoughts. now he remembered why he didn't drink.

Luke blushed a bit more, but held her hand back, in a very happy mood.

What little of the party Kira could remember gave her stomach butterflies. She wished she had the courage to kiss Luke when she wasn't drunk, but hopefully that courage would build over time.

"E-everything?" Sage asked as she looked at him. Her cheeks turning a bright shade of red.

"Everything." Nathan confirmed with a smile.

"I meant everything I said last might...too...well, all of the positives!" Sage responded with a smile. She then took a drink from her water. "Maybe later...you could show me...your village?"

"Thank you." Nathan said with a smile before remembering something he'd heard her say last night. "Ego similis vobis." He said in a shaky and unconvincing manner.

"'I like you'" Sage translated and went a little red in the face, her heart beat a little faster.
