"You act like I would get caught or something. This isn't my first rodeo you know. Besides I will be going through public records, from the safety and untraceable security of my own home." Hopefully this would be enough to satisfy Sam and everyone else involved. Wayne waited patiently to see what would happen next.

Sam rolled her eyes. "If you say so. Just be careful and keep your shit away from getting caught. Seriously." she said, and retreated into the living room. She laid herself down on the couch and turned the TV on to hope it would help her doze off to sleep.

James turns to Isabella. "Do you know where some of these guys live? If so, can you show me where?"

"Ah...I don't remember," Isabella said, sighing. "They all used to live together in group home, but I don't think they're there any more..." Her phone began to vibrate in her pocket and she pulled it out, wondering how the hell it managed to survive after yesterday.

Joey nodded with a frown, was it a requirement for Runics to come from a bad home?

"Is it your parents?" James asked, when he heard her phone call.

"Oh, um, no," Isabella said, scanning through the text. "It's my uncle." She flipped her phone open to text him back, trying to hide the screen from James. No one needs to know about her dad and her "uncle".

"Um...ok..." James said, a little curious by how Bell was acting, but deciding to not say anything. She'll tell him when she's ready.

Isabella sighed and stood up. "I should probably head home. He's pretty worried about me." She pulled her jacket around her, despite it being ridiculously hot outside.

"I'll walk you back." James said, getting up.

"O-oh, um...that won't be necessary," Isabella said, looking off to the side. Well, those hunters were probably still after her, so it probably wouldn't be a bad idea for him to come along.

"Come on, those guys might still be 'round, I'll make sure you get there ok." James explained to the girl.

Isabella sighed, before heading towards the door. "...Let's go, then." She waved to Wayne and Sam. "See you again, probably."

"I'll be back soon." James told the other two, as he followed her out.

Isabella led him out and pulled off her jacket the second she was back out in the sun. "My place is kinda far, but we can take a shortcut around the school." She shivered a little, even though it was blazing hot. Dear God, why was it getting so cold...?

"You ok?" James asked, noticing her shiver.

Isabella nodded. "Yeah, it's just a bit chilly, but it'll be too hot if I put on my jacket." She shrugged and started walking.

Chilly? James thought, slightly confused, as he was quite hot himself. She was definitely not feeling well, but like usual, she refused to admit something was wrong.

Isabella sighed and continued walking. As they went past the school, a large Doberman appeared out of nowhere and tackled her down to the ground. She winced in pain, but the dog appeared to be friendly and just wanted to play.

"Whoa!" James said, before running over to help Bell, immediately. "Friend of yours?"

"No..." Isabella said, sitting up and rubbing her elbow. The dog sat next to her, amused by her pain. "Damn dogs..."

"Here." James said, holding his hand out to her, so he can help her up.

Isabella grabbed his hand and pulled herself on her feet. The dog nudged her leg and licked her, causing her to shudder. She moved away from it, but it simply followed her around. What a strange one.

"Not a fan of dogs?" James asked, before noticing it follow her around. "I think it has taken a liking to you."

"Not at all," Isabella muttered. She looked to see if the dog's owner was around, but there wasn't really anyone else there. It continued to follow around, making her feel rather uncomfortable.

James squatted down next to the dog. "Hey there." He said, reaching out to pet it.
