Runic

The dog growled at James and clamped onto his hand, digging its teeth deep into his flesh. Isabella, in shock, quickly kicked the dog by the back of its neck. However, the dog barely even reacted and simply clenched harder.

"AGH!" James yelled, his hand immediately bursting into flames in reaction to the bite.

James managed to burn the inside of the dog's mouth and some of its face, but it still held on tightly. The smell of burning flesh filled the air. Isabella immediately covered her mouth and nose, the odor making her feel sick.

James began using his other hand to try and pry the grip of it's bite off.

The dog finally let go and backed away, growling. It barked once, before sprinting away.
Isabella was still shocked about the attack. "Are you okay?" she asked James, examining the bite marks on his hand. That dog got him pretty badly.

James flinched, but forced up a smile. "Don't worry, it'll heal." He said, as runes began to gather around the wound.

Isabella opened her mouth to say something, but then changed her mind and frowned. "We should hurry," she said as she started walking again. Something in her gut told her that it wasn't really a dog. Maybe it was a Runic in disguise. Or she's just getting paranoid.
