The Haunted House on the Hill Part 1

"Okay!!" Angel said happily, taking another drag.

"No thanks," Denny replied to Angel, screwing up his face in disgust. "The ladies love good lungs." He wiggled his eyebrows in Elizabeth's direction.

Elizabeth blushed as Angel threw the rest of her joint into the trees. "That's a cigarette, sweetie. Not pot. Pot does nothing harmful to your body." She rolled her eyes.

Elizabeth looked at the trees. "Um, Angel? Did you put thatt out before throwing it? It could start a fire."

"Chill, Bethy. I put it out." Angel laughed.

Joseph turned to Elizabeth, as if to say: It's not too late to request a change in teams.

"Oh right. Well then, pot makes you dumb as shit," Denny grinned boyishly. "Don't worry, Lizzy, I'll put out whatever fire Angel starts."

Elizabeth shook her head at Joseph after meeting his eyes. It was futile to change groups. Angel was very protective of her, and she would merely follow Elizabeth to whatever group she went to.

Angel smacked Denny on the back of the head. "I'm not dumb, sweetheart. I suggest you watch it." Her laughter had morphed rapidly into a cold glare.

Denny shook his head, deciding to simply roll with the punches. "Didn't say you were, but you will be if you keep smoking that stuff."

Joseph nodded, understanding.

"Ok, my group, it's time to get going." Joseph said, turning to his three other group members.

"Text us once you've checked things out!" Elizabeth said, frowning a little in worry.

"I've smoked it for a long time, Den. I'm not dumb yet!" Angel cackled.

Quil pumped her fist into the air, grinning. She started humming the Ghostbusters theme song quietly.
Denny shrugged silently, figuring it was best not to comment. Instead he tightened his grip of Liz's waist, moving closer to her

Joseph nodded, before turning and leading his group towards the house. "Let it begin..."

Elizabeth was slightly unfomfortable with Denny pulling her closer, and she pulled away, blushing.

"Good luck you guys!" Angel yelled out happily.

Joseph stepped up to the door with his group. "Ok guys, let's see what this place has to show us."

He then opened the door, and stepped inside.

Quil started whistling shoving her hands in her pockets as she trailed behind Joseph.
Noting Elizabeth's discomfort, Denny lightened his grip, glancing at the group going in.

"Um, you guys... I think this is a bad idea," Bryant said quietly.
Aria raised an eyebrow at Bryant's sudden change in behavior, but then shrugged it off.

"Chillax, Bryant. Life is deck, it's going to be fine!" Angel called after him, hearing his worry. "It's just a story!"

Elizabeth exhaled when his hand loosened. She never liked this kind of touching, and it felt really weird.

Denny grinned mockingly at Byrant. "You gonna chicken out?" he asked innocently.

"Don't make fun of him, Denny." Elizabeth frowned, slightly annoyed.

"I'm not! It's just that..." Bryant trailed off, looking off to the side.

Elizabeth walked over to Bryant, and stood in front of him. "Bryant, do you want to come in with me?" She asked him. "Tell me what's wrong." She said.

"It's...it's nothing," Bryant muttered. "I just have a bad feeling about this."

"Are you sure you want to go in, Bryant?" Angel asked.

Bryant nodded. "...Yeah. I'll go."

"Let me switch with someone. I want to make sure you're alright, Bryant." Elizabeth said, looking up at everyone.

Angel's eyes widened. Wow, Liz. Brave move. she thought, surprised.

"You don't have to do that, Lizzy," Bryant said.

Aria shrugged. "I'll switch with you."
