Reaching Salvation: Post-Acer Part 12

"'Course I will. Give Sage my regards, eh?" Luke replied with a grin, walking away perfectly normal, for the first time in years not having to limp back.

"Touché." Nathan said with his own grin before realising that he hadn't spoken to Sage properly for a long time. With a nod of goodbye to Luke's retreating frame he quickly turned on his heals and began to walk towards the Acer village. His plans with Tom could wait, he had to go check on Sage first.

"I wanna go outsiiiiiiiiiiiddddddddddddeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Mirror complained for like...the fifth time that day.

Melaney sighed. "Okay, let's go outside," she mumbled, standing up and offering her hand, "But you gotta stick with me. People aren't very friendly to Sage.."

Luke made his way happily back into the forest, his voice less dry than it had used to be, more rich now that half his face wasn't charred to bits.

Nathan quickly began searching for flow signatures as he continued walking. Where could Sage be?

"Kay!" Mirror said, skipping outside to bump into Sage.

"Ow!" Both said.

Melaney sweatdropped, stepping next to Mirror. "We're just going out for a walk, is that okay?" she asked Sage.

Kira sat on her bed in the treehouse, slowly working on shrinking the forest's wide borders. She would be far too vulnerable in a fight with it as big as it had gotten.

After getting a lock on the flow signature, Nathan began to power walk towards the location. He didn't want to overdo it with flow use just yet as he still had to prepare their defences. So he wasn't going to use Super Speed.

Luke strolled towards the treehouse, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Honey I'm home!" he called up to her.

"Go for it." Sage said, rubbing her forehead, while Mirror copied it.

Nathan was beginning to approach Sage's house. Only now did he realise he was still wearing the tattered remains of his t-shirt.

Melaney glanced between the two worriedly. "Um, do you still mirror Sage even outside the mirror?" she asked the doppelganger.

Nathan was barely two minutes away now and anyone nearby would be able to sense him even though he was suppressing his flow.

"Only if we're facing each other," Mirror said.

It was here when Nathan turned the corner to get towards Sage's house. When he was in seeing range he looked at the scene in shock.

"What... the...?"

"Huh, that's intere-" she paused, going pale, "N-n-nathan.." She hadn't thought about what Nathan would think at all.

"Uhhhmmmm...." Mirror and Sage both looked at Nathan.

"Hi."

"There are two of you...?" Nathan asked looking extremely confused as he surveyed the group.

"Uhm...apparently...I kinda...used my blessing on my mirror while I was asleep...andthenwhilewewereoutitkindadevelopedintothis..." Sage said the last part really fast.

"Hi there!" Mirror said cheerfully.

Melaney grabbed Mirror's hand to try and settle her own trembling. "U-um...h-hi."
