SBURB: Restart

Joey smiled, taking a picture of himself next to a huge thing of quartz, before sending the picture to Nell through text. He had no problems making her jealous when his life wasn't on the line.

He then got back on pesterchum, only to become confused.

DH: Wait, how did you prototype a bird?

Nell groaned from her hiding place in the kitchen, peaking through the hole in the wall at the bird. Fine, maybe she'd try bread. She grabbed a loaf from one of the drawers, pulling out a slice and ripping a bit off, throwing it to the bird. Parrotpillow seemed to ignore it.

IO: joeeeey!!!! you gotta help me
IO: kaths being crazy about this bird thing
IO: i think it hates me ):
IO: oh i threw one of my moms taxidermy creations at it

DH: Ok, um, do you know what that species of bird eats?
DH: Maybe you can use that as a distraction.
DH: Can you talk to it?

Joey suggested, not knowing that Kath had already suggested one of those two ideas.

Aocer gave a whistle when he saw Kathryn's bedroom appear on the SBURB Server screen on his laptop. He pulled Pesterchum back up and answered Kathryn:

ER: Not a fucking chance.
ER: But, I'll deploy a bunch of things; keep him innocent. This sight isn't going to be pretty.
ER: AND IF YOU COMPLAIN TO ME IF YOUR ROOM LOOKS DIFFERENT, bitch please.
ER: I'm going to save you from Planet fucking Jupiter - have you seen the size of that space rock - if I have to force you down to do it.
ER: Oh, and I'm going to be directly talking to Nell now; she needs to let me in.
ER: Oh and DON'T TOUCH THE CRUXTRUDER. It forces the meteor to come faster.

Heaving an exasperated sigh, Aocer proceeded to remodel the beautiful room in front of him into something more organised and practical; he shoved all of Kathryn's stuff except her computer to a side, and deployed a Cruxtruder, a Totem Lathe and an Alchemiter in the bedroom. "Most of the other ones seem to need Grist... Well, this is a problem."

ER: Nell.
ER: Status report, stat.

ER: Joey.
ER: Status report, pronto.

DH: Now that's no way to speak to a superior officer, Private.

Joey replied, only half-jokingly.

DH: Here's a debriefing on the current status. I am currently in another world, I believe.
DH: There are hostile enemies here, but only one has been spotted and dealt with so far. Sprite is being cryptic.
DH: Nell is currently my server, and is currently dealing with a bird problem, and getting in, I want you to leave her alone so she can completely focus on that right now.
DH: Kath is her server, and is currently focusing on saving her from the meteor.
DH: Private Ophy, your orders are to forget everything else, and put your full attention in getting Kath in. I will be doing some investigating, and doing some stuff that I believe will help us be more efficient in handling this.
DH: I have to go now, something is happening within my house.

Watching Aocer from behind, across the room, on top of one of the bookshelves, was a little white rabbit.

IO: i dunno its a bird!!!! worms???
IO: i dont like irds ):
IO: its not eating the bread anyway

Seeing that Aocer had started pestering her, she pulled up his message box as well.

IO: status??
IO: im being chased by a glowy blue pillow bird
IO: kath wont help me ):
IO: im hiding in the kitchen
IO: i dont think it likes it in the kitchen since its not following me in here
IO: youre kaths server right?? can you get her to help me??? she wont listen to me TT_TT

After sending her message to Aocer, her phone started going off. Curious, she picked it up, looking at the picture Joey had sent her, before stomping her foot. "THAT ASSHOLE!" she shouted, stomping her foot. This prompted the bird to fly into the kitchen, starting to chase her again.

Kathryn got up from her living room couch, and brought her laptop into her bedroom. Her eyes widened in shock and horror. She set the laptop down on her desk, which was still in place, and began typing a message to Aocer.

ZD: You... you ruined my room.
ZD: You ruined my room.
ZD: You ruined my fucking room.
ZD: It took me a month to get it just perfectly.
ZD: And now you have it... all messed up.
ZD: Oh my god.
ZD: I can't.
ZD: I can't breath.
ZD: You.
ZD: Ruined.
ZD: My.
ZD: Perfectly.
ZD: Arranged.
ZD: Room.
ZD: I'm going to kill you.
ZD: And I will touch that Cruxtruder, since I need to blow my room up and start from scratch now.
ZD: Drop some heavy shit on it.
ZD: Preferably... YOUR FACE.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Joey was currently using a giant rock as cover, as he shot the invading Imps to death. Good thing these creatures were so damn weak, and easy to kill. Joey thought, as he killed the last one.

(Joey has ascended to the next Achievement Rung on his Echeladder: Teen-Private. 125 Boondollars obtained, +5 to mangrit, etc.)

He walked over, and collected all of the dropped material, before heading inside. He had an idea on how to make matters simpler.

OOC: Yes, there is an echeladder system. You don't really need to say when your character is going up it, it's just something to remind you that this universe works like a video game, and we'll get only stronger as we go on.

To Joey:
ER: All right, "Officer".
ER: I will proceed to actually give a shit about what you say because you usually tend to be right.
ER: By the way, did you get your birthday package?
ER: It probably looks insignificant compared to Nell and Kath's presents but it's of great value.

To Neil:
ER: CRAP, I can't "un-prototype" anything.
ER: Meaning: that bird's alive and I can't program live things, so you're on your own.
ER: I'll contact Kathryn but she's having issues right now.
ER: All that fuss over a STUPID BEDROOM!

Seeing Kathryn's rant:
ER: Before I forget, concentrate on Nellie rather than ranting at me. AND DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH THE CRUXTRUDER.
ER: And you're making me repeat myself.
ER: A FUCKING BITCH PLEASE TO YOU TOO.
ER: Shut up and wait. I'm going to see if I can tap into Joey's Grist pool - that way we can restore your pretty little bedroom ONCE WE'RE DONE WITH THIS GAME.

He began tapping away at the speed of sound, scouring the Net for a suitable application - unfortunately all that came up were horrible walkthroughs that looked like they were typed out by hens. "Hell, I need to figure something out fast or she's going to explode..."

Nell threw the rest of the bread loaf at Pillowparrot, distracting the bird for a while. Now, she was supposed to do something with the punched card, right? Which machine had that been? Well, there was one with a card slot thing in the kitchen...she headed back in there, sticking the card into the slot, only for nothing to happen. Great, now what? There seemed to be a two stick thingys for something to be placed between, but she didn't know what. Maybe...oh! One of those blue glowy cylinders, perhaps?

Suddenly, all three of Joey's friends received a message from him. Within the message was a link to a memo, titled: The Sburban Army Status Memo

DH: Ok everyone, this memo is for the purpose of keeping track on what everyone is doing, they're current situation, and what they have learned.
DH: Please post an update on your status regularly, and make sure to check these regularly as well.
DH: Current status: In my house, currently trying to gather information, while setting up a barricade to keep the Imps out. My dad is currently missing, and Soldiersprite hasn't said anything else so far.

Nell grabbed one of the cylinders, shoving it between the two poker things. The machine whirred to life, carving the blue rod into a wavy shape, leaving Nell to wonder what the heck to do next. She didn't bother checking her laptop, too distracted.

ZD: Nell is just fine.
ZD: She's throwing crap at her bird.
ZD: Joey's giving her advice.
ZD: Way more useful than I am at the moment.
ZD: NOW.
ZD: I
ZD: AM
ZD: GOING
ZD: TO
ZD: TOUCH
ZD: THE CRUXTRUDER.
ZD: SHUT YOUR MOUTH.

Kathryn rolled her eyes when the memo popped up.

ZD: Aocer ruined my room.
ZD: Like a whore.

ER: WE ARE NOT AN ARMY. Maybe you are, but I didn't sign up for army shit.
ER: Status though - dealing with a whiny female and trying to stop her from DESTROYING MY SANITY.
ER: And you didn't answer me. WHERE IS YOUR BIRTHDAY PACKAGE.
ER: Don't tell me you left it in your father's car or something. If you did, I'd be raging mad.

Aocer replied to Kathryn separately:

ER: Oh you're not going to be able to open it.
ER: But we're ready, and I'm going to get you in.
ER: Make yourself useful and put the prepunched card into the Totem Lathe and stand ready.

Pulling the prepunched card out of the Phernalia Registry and tossing it at the fuming Kathryn, Aocer started to run through the bits of the walkthrough that the worm was slowly unearthing. Nothing of interest yet... "Bleh. At least there's new stuff in the Registry." One glance and: "Fuck. Things cost astronomical amounts of grist."

DH: It's just a name, dude.
DH: Anyways, all of the packages I got today are stored securely in my room
DH: Currently trying to locate dad as I set up a barricade.
DH: Sprite has floated off somewhere.

Joey frowned, he hoped Nell was doing ok. She hadn't responded yet, so she was probably still dealing with the useless sprite.

Logging back onto her computer for help, Nell slapped herself in the face at Joey's stupid army references. "We get it, we get it, your dad is in the military, big woop," she muttered to herself, rolling her eyes. Honestly. You didn't see her raving about all the various dead stuffed animals her mom had collected over the years.

IO: im with aocer on this one
IO: armies suck big time
IO: im currently trying to figure out how to play the game without a server player since mine is being completely useless and siding with the bird instead of me
IO: i have a blue carved thing
IO: now what do i do with it
IO: maybe if someone had actually done things a little slower i would know what the heck to do

Nell scowled at her computer screen, in a rather foul mood. Why did Joey have to make Kath be her server player? She would have much rather had Aocer do the job. He wouldn't let her get killed by a blue glowy bird.

DH: It's just a name, people.
DH: I never said we had to act like an army
DH: But we do have to work together here!
DH: I'll see what I can do about getting you in, Aocer.

Joey practically facepalmed. Here the were, facing multiple life and death situations, and they're arguing over names!

Joey just sighed before pestering Kath.

DH: Kath, I need you to distract Nell's bird, so she can focus on entering.

OOC: I'll have Joey contact Scuro's character, to get Aocer in, once she makes her character.

DH: Damnit Nell, you are picking the stupidest time to do this.
DH: We have meteors raining down on us, and you seriously want to talk about my interests!? Cause I'd perfectly ok talking about this, any other time, that was not a life or death situation!
DH: Insert the totem into the Alchemiter (Big platform thing.), and activate it.

Joey was literally banging his head against the wall. This was one of the stupidest things Nell has probably ever done. Why do people always choose the worst possible times, to start an argument.

IO: us???? youre fine dumbass
IO: the rest of us are the ones with meteor problems
IO: brb putting the blue thing on the platform or whatever

Nell muttered to herself, standing up and picking up the blue thing. She started walking towards the platform thing, hearing a loud crash and turning around to see what was going on. A meteor had just crashed into her house, setting it alight. Resisting the urge to light herself on fire, she placed the blue thing on the platform, waiting for something to happen and carefully watching the fire. Her mom might actually get pissed.

IO: guys.......my house is on fire
IO: if i stop replying im probably burnt alive
IO: just a heads up
IO: on the other hand theres a beautiful space rock in the other room
IO: surrounded by fire

DH: Activate the Alchemiter!
DH: Hurry!

Joey typed, actually very worried about Nell's well-being. It was then that his house shook, once...twice....thrice... Each time, a loud THUMP! sound came from outside.

DH: Guys, I think I have some trouble coming my way.
DH: Might be awhile till I reply again...
