Glancing again at Alice as she let out some incomprehensible babble, Lissa saw the vicious treant attacking her with its powerful branches. Eyes widening, she immediately leapt in front of the monster, guarding her ally as best she could with outstretched arms, all the while making an effort to absorb the surrounding Mana to replenish her own Mana Cycle. Alice... Get out of here! Lissa thought to herself, willing the girl to accept her help.

Jizara blinked at the question. "A little girl? I'm sorry, but I haven't..." Then she looked over at the burning mandragora. Poor thing, it was probably just defending its territory. Oh well... they would well end its suffering soon. And if not, she would.. "Allow me to help with this..." She muttered, before stepping forward and releasing a deep pyre towards the remaining mandragora, putting it out of her misery as she thought she would.

Alice had one thought running through her mind: Get out of the water, and then get out of the forest. She wasn't used to seeing dead bodies, she wasn't used to being attacked by monsters, she just wanted to sit in an inn and play her banjo for spare change like she usually did.

With a quick glance over her shoulder to ensure that Alice was safely behind her, Lissa stood defiantly in front of the giant Treant. It was an imposing beast, to be certain, but Lissa was equally defiant in this situation. She refused to let Alice face the consequences of her actions... or at least, her omission in the face of the shackle. The newcomer, whose name she had not caught, spoke words that she could not hear. The blood pulsed in her veins, and adrenaline increased her alertness. She began to channel the last of the Mana she had in her, creating a final flame that would lick the Treant, burning it to a crisp. A smile crossed her lips as she fell forward, lying unconscious as her Mana reserves depleted.

Her final thoughts were the faint hope that she had done something noteworthy...

Regaining consciousness, Lissa realized that she had not been out for as long as she thought. The steady, passive flow of Mana into her body abruptly stopped, though she inhaled deeply, starving for air. Almost on the verge of hyperventilating, she spoke aloud to nobody in particular, saying "It's okay... it's all okay..." before attempting to climb to her feet.

She stumbled, faltering as she quickly received a headrush from the speed of her motion. Sharply inhaling, she reached down and picked up her pitchfork, getting ready to use it against the monsters once more. She looked over at a rather wet Alice, saying "We need to help the others... Are you okay to get near them?" She stepped towards the treant in front of her, stabbing wildly with the pitchfork, trying to puncture a hole in its bark. It's about time we get rid of the overgrown fauna... we need to find Naina, and get out of here.

Exhausted, Lissa turned to Alice, and gave a tired grin to show her that she was okay. "Feeling better... I hope you are too." She quickly snapped her attention back to see Jet slash at his own body, which she winced at. He was evidently in trouble. Glancing back to Alice, Lissa quickly asked, "Finish this oversized tree off for me, Alice? Then come over to give us a hand with the other one..." before dashing off towards the wandering toadstool. Lissa thought to herself, So close. So soon before we can rest once more... She hoped that this assault would be enough to help Jet out, charging rapidly towards the mushroom and hacking away at it with her pitchfork.
