Nightfall, Children of the Elements

Good, she's learning. Aculeus took a solid hit to the face, but when he couldn't block her hit he turned his block into a punch aimed to knock the wind out of her.

Suzume's eyes shot wide open as the punch connected. She pushed herself away, to give herself time to recover.

The punch to his face had cut open the inside of his mouth and it stung a bit. When Sparrow backed away Aculeus reached out and put the tip of his blade at the base of her throat. He didn't prick her skin or even touch it because the poison would get into Sparrow's body and kill her in a few hours. "Check," Aculeus told the girl keeping his voice neutral.

Suzume chuckled, and brought her arm blade up to Aculeus's own sword. "I can keep going."

Jason was randomly walking around the tower, exploring with the voices in his head going full throttle.

FRIENDS! FRIENDS! FRIENDS!

Shut tha' fuck up. Ya stupid bitch.

"If I even prick you with this blade," Aculeus began to tell the girl, "The poison covering the blade will kill you in only a few hours. Even moving towards me will mean a certain end. So it would be wise to not make a move."

"A few hours...eh...?" Suzume seemed amused by this for some reason.

"The posion enters the bloodstream and causes excruciating pain at the location of entrence. After an hour the person falls into a coma, faster if they're heart rate is higher. Finally after 3 hours the poison has shutdown all nueral connections and the person dies." Aculeus looked Sparrow in her crimson eyes, "It isn't a pleasant death."

"Interesting..." Suzume made a mental note of that poison. "I want to leave now."

Josephine had picked a high rooftop to sit on, looking down at the town and continuing to memorize the layout. If she was staying here, she'd have to know how to quickly escape.

"Before you leave," Aculeus lowered his blade slightly, "Checkmate." Aculeus smiled at her, "I like the way you fight too. Different styles are good."

Suzume's arm returned to normal. And then, she folded them. "Whatever."

Nassvegil returned to its rose form and Aculeus walked back to his hammock. "Still don't see how you couldn't completely destroy a poor injured cripple," he yawned, "Maybe next time. Like tomorrow perhaps?"

"Don't count on it," Suzume huffed, turning on her heel to stare at the vine covered door.

"Saying please might help," Aculeus said sleepily. He lay back and wrapped his cloak around him.

"You are an asshole. Please remove these god damn vines." Suzume said in a growl.

The vines retreated from the door, "Good job. Your people skills are improving. Goodnight." Aculeus rolled around in the hammock to find a comfortable position and fell asleep.

"God fucking dammit mother fucker," Suzume growled and stormed out of the room.

Manda was waiting outside, eating her apple in a way so that the core was being eaten as well.

As Sparrow angrily stormed out of Aculeus's room, Sam reentered. She flashed Aculeus a quick smile and crawled into the other hammock, curling her knees to her chest inside of the giant hoodie. She sat for a while, closing her eyes and wishing the hammock was a bed.
"Aculeus?" she said quietly, just checking to see if he was awake.

Suzume passed Manda, still cussing to herself under her breath.

"Yes Sam?" Aculeus said sleepily to the girl. "What do you need?" Aculeus was very tired and used most of his energy today, he needed the sleep.

"W-wait up!" Manda jogged to catch up with the girl. Did she have another fight with Mr. Aculeus? The girl thought as they made their way out.

"Why the hell does he care!?" Suzume stopped, slamming a metal fist into the wall. "Son of a bitch! What gives him the right to care!?"

"Do you..." she trailed off, stifling a giggle, "nevermind."
She yawned and rolled over, closing her eyes. "Just rest now."
