Cat stared back at the girl with an unwavering, unblinking gaze.

"..." Jaden continued to give the cat the evil eye.

"Um... is there a problem?" Faye asked.

Jaden didn't hear Faye, as she continued to give the cat the eye.

...Are you that simpleminded? Cat thought.

John was beginning to sneeze more hardly as time went on.

Where was his allergy medicine when he needed it.

"...Cat..." Jaden said as she continued to give the cat the eye for the third time.

"Yes. Cat. That's it's name." Faye repeated, before looking over at John. "I can go if you need us to."

"...Cat..." Jaden repeated, still staring at the cat.

"N-no- *ACHOO* I'll just- *ACHOO* stand over ther...*AACHOOO*!!!" John said, walking away for a bit.

"Are you going to keep repeating my name?" Cat 'said'.

"WHOA!" Jaden fell backwards, her concentration broken. "...It talked."

"Oh, so you've finally found out my secret. Wait to go, gold star!" Cat replied snarkily.

"Cat, don't be rude." Faye replied with a frown.

"...Awesome!" Jaden said, wagging her tail.

Faye sweat dropped.

"See? She isn't upset. Now can we move on?" Cat asked.

John sighed from where he was, cursing his allergy.

"So, whatelse can ya do!? Huh!? Hu--OW!"

"Geeze, you're so loud..." said a dragon as he landed on the girl's head after whacking her with his tail. "Zade woke me up just to keep an eye on you. And you know how much I hate to be woken up."

"Oh Hai Kuruu!"

Once she was seated, the waitress gave Evelyn a menu, but she simply pushed it back. "Just give me a blueberry crepe and a Twilight Dew."

"Hm?" Two boys(?), one wearing an eyepatch and the other holding a baseball bat, happened to walk by Jaden and the rest.
"I've never seen them before," the boy with the baseball bat said. "Are they new?"
The one with the eyepatch shrugged. "I dunno. Let's ask them." He(?) turned to the group and yelled. "Hey, are you new?"

"Eh?" Jaden looked up at the two. "...Yup!" she said with a grin. "Hiya!"

"Oh, hey, they are new!" the one with the eyepatch said, smiling. "I'm Ester, your resident news boy~!"

The one with the baseball bat sighed and shook his head. "Don't believe anything Ester says. Chances are, she's lying," he said. "I'm Felix."

"Um, nice to meet you. I'm Faye and this is Cat." Faye replied to the two.

"Hi there." John said to the two, from where he was, he was as close as his allergy would permit.

"Uwaaahh~ It's so cute~!" Ester said as she took Cat and began to dance around with it.

Felix ignored her and smiled. If this is their first year... "Out of curiosity, what are your Mage Items?"

"Put me down you idiotic human!" Cat yowled.

"Mage items?" Faye asked.

"What she said," Jaden said while Kuruu watched the two.
