Mage: The Academy

"Not really..." John sai, shaking the back of his head.

The dorms were still closed. Renovations and stuff like that.

"Yas, come back," Evelyn said as the Boo thing reappeared next to her, holding a snowboard. "I'm going to the cafe. If you be a good boy and not scare the crap out of anyone again, I'll buy you a crepe, 'kay?"

Quincy sighed, getting up and deciding to see if he could get something to eat. Did he have any money? Did the food here require money to buy?

"Hm? Oh, one more thing," Evelyn said when she saw Quincy get up. "Some student-run shops like the cafe and a few of the inns have free service for new students, but it's only valid for a few days. As long as you have the Headmaster's letter with you, you should be okay." She nodded, before heading out.

Pffft, it's not awesome to you because you can do it!" Jaden said, huffing again and folding her arms.

Jake was sitting down in a corner by himself with his eyes closed, listening in in case they said anything useful but not bothering to join in. When he heard he had free service for only a while, he got up, figuring he might as well get the best value. He put his hands in his pockets, just making sure he still had his letter from the headmaster.

Quincy frowned at Evelyn, wondering if she could read minds for a moment, before shrugging and heading out to walk around the town in search of a cafe or something of the sort.

Evelyn eventually made it to the cafe, which wasn't that far from the Academy and the dorms. She was greeted by a girl probably a year or so older than her, a student from the Academy.
"Welcome to En Noir Et Blanc! Today's special is-" She stared at Evelyn for a few seconds, before smiling. "Oh, hey! You're the Headmaster's-"
"Aren't you going to seat me?" Evelyn asked, slightly irritated.
"Oh, um, yes!" the girl said, bowing formally. "Please follow me!" She turned and led Evelyn to an empty table.

Faye was hanging from a tree, fast asleep.

"Heeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyy!" Jaden suddenly called out and pointed at a tree. "Whose that?"

The girl was still sleeping, but she had rolled over and was now falling from the tree.

"Ah!" Jaden suddenly switched into her Mage form and lunged to catch the girl.

The girl was caught by Jaden just in time. "Mmmmhmmm..." She murmured.

"Phew..." the girl gave a sigh of relief. "No head damage here!~"

John ran over to Jaden and the girl. "Whoa...that was close."

"Nice catch." He said to Jaden.

Green eyes opened to look up at Jaden. "Who... who are you?"

Jaden grinned up at John.

"Oh, just you're friendly neighbour-hood Mage catching people falling from trees, Jaden!" the girl said.

The girl blinked confused. "And, where am I?"

A black cat could be seen from a tree branch, looking down at them with glowing yellow eyes.

"Uhm..." Jaden frowned, trying tor emember herself. "Oh! You should have a note...and...uhm. I'd show you mine, but your sorta on top of me."

John began to start sneezing. "Is *Achoo* there a *Achoo* a cat *Achooo* around....?"

"Oh! I'm so sorry!" Faye exclaimed, quickly getting to her feet. She was wearing a yellow romper and a red sweater tied around her waist. The girl fumbled a little with the sweater until she produced the slip of paper and quickly scanned it's contents. "Um... wow."
John mention a cat, she looked up. "Cat? Are you here?"

With that the cat lept from the tree and into Faye's arms. "I guess you came her to!" The girl exclaimed cheerfully.

Jaden just stared at the cat, as if her mind was focused on one thing.

John began to sneeze even more, his eyes beginning to water. "A- *ACHOO* llergic... *ACHOO**ACHOO**ACHOO*!!!"

"Ah! I'm sorry! Is it that bad...?" The girl asked in a worried tone.

Jaden still focused on the cat, her eyes narrowing at it.
