Mage: The Academy

"I'm Faye, specialty..." The girl closed her eyes as her feet began to glow.

Jaden and Kuruu watched on with amazed eyes. Zayden just returned his sword into a dagger.

A moment later a pair of roller skates adorned Faye's feet. "These."

"Awesome!" Jaden cried out.

"Thanks." Faye replied.

"For what?" Jaden asked, scratching her head.

"Um, the compliment?" Faye replied.

"Oh right!" Jaden said.

Evelyn sighed and had Yas spit up a notebook before giving him the blueberry crepe. She opened it to a map of the town, pulled out a pencil, and began writing notes in the margins.

A few days later, the first years found themselves and all their stuff in what appeared to a recreation room. There was no furniture or anything in the room, except for a flat screen TV by the door. There was also a bulletin board in the back, however, there were only two things on it, a sign that said 'Welcome to Dorm G' and a new letter from the Headmaster.

Dear Mage(s),
I hope you are doing well. I hope you have used the past week to get better acquainted with the town. I'm sure you have many questions but I shall address them another time. I can assure you that you will eventually find the answers you seek.
Anyway, for the last few days most of you have been staying at one of the inns. I am pleased to tell you that housing preparations have been completed.
There are four dorms. Dorm M, Dorm A, Dorm G, and Dorm E. Please do try and get along with your dorm mates. The academy is not open yet so spend this time to get to know them! If you have any problems, you can always ask one of the second years.
You shall hear from me again soon...

Evelyn frowned, reading the letter. Dorm G, huh... I wonder if I'll get Ailyn's old room.

John sighed. "So we're finally getting assigned our own rooms, huh..."

"Ha! It spells MAGE!" Jaden said.

Quincy raised an eyebrow. Dorms? He wondered if he'd be stuck with annoying people, before quickly figuring that he would.

"Yes.' John said. "Yes it does."

Evelyn rolled her eyes and scanned across the room. "...Where are all the second years...?"

Right when she said that, a certain red head with a baseball bat and a very tomboyish-looking girl with a foldable umbrella (who may have been the waitress from that one cafe) appeared in the doorway.
"Yo!" the guy with the bat said, a goofy grin plastered on his face. "I'm Felix Silphic, Dorm G advisor."
The girl smiled and nodded. "And I'm Aelin Lynn, the other advisor." She bowed formally, but lost her balance and stumbled forward, before catching herself. "Eep! Um... No one saw that, 'kay?"

Quincy sighed. It seemed his hope of intelligent dorm-mates was lost.

John waved to the two. "Um...hi...there aren't any cats here, are there?"

Zayden was going to say something...but kept his mouth shut. I'm not related to her in any way. I just happen to look a lot like her...

"Cats? None that I know of," Aelia said, shrugging.

"Anyway," Felix said, leaning on his bat, "Rooms. You'll all be up in the second floor, or third floor if you want to risk sharing with a second year. I'll let you guys choose your rooms for now. I'd recommend that you share with someone, but you don't have to if you don't want to. Once you've moved all your stuff into a room, come back here." He moved off to the side to let everyone else out.

John nodded, before picking up his stuff. "Thank you." He said to the two.

Quincy picked up his bag, wandering up to the second floor, selecting a room at random, and dropping his bag on the bed.

"No problem," Felix said, shrugging. "You might want to hurry, though, or all the good rooms will be taken."

Evelyn went up to the second floor, looking for her sister's old room. She wandered around the circular hallway until she finally found a door with a Boo-shaped knob cover. She smiled, went into the room, and dropped her stuff off.

Faye had walked up to one of the rooms, Cat chilling out in her unzipped back pack.

John quickly claimed the room with the best view of the town, before beginning to unpack.

Jaden had followed Faye up, "Can I bunk with ya!? Can I!? Please!?"

Zayden walked to a room on the second floor, choosing a empty one.
